before construction can happen. anna-lysa gayle joins us live with more on that fight over the sacred ground. kimberly, the members at the macedonia baptist church are strongly opposed to any kind of development in the area surrounding what they believe is a former african-american cemetery. more research is needed to determine that, but they gathered today. this morning, they sang and marched to the area where they located,he cemetery is which is next to a high-rise building. onvey matthews who grew up river road said a parking lot was built on top of the cemetery in the late 50's to early 60's. a new york-based developer and company known as equity one wants to

but harvey matthews wants answers. want the county to hold up that construction on that garage and parking lot until we do everything possible that can be e the remainsf th are still on that hill. anna-lysa: there is a montgomery county planning board meeting scheduled for february 23 where city leaders will listen to the developer plans, and the planning committee will release a statement in reaction to all of this. they say, while research indicates there were graves at the site at some point in the past, further investigation is needed to determine if any graves are still present. it went on to say regulatory approval has been delayed three times in order to solve problems related to the archaeological nature of the site.

person dead. more details about that shooting in germantown that rattled nerves. ryan hughes has more. ryan: police tape is hanging from a tree in germantown where two men were shot late last night near roberto clemente middle school. >> we were very lucky. ryan: edgar's nerves are still rattled. he was in the kitchen, his kids downstairs when a bullet flew through his bedroom window and lodged itself in the wall. >> there was glass everywhere. by then, my whole family went to the basement. ryan police swarmed the scene around 10:00. :they say about 30 people showed up to a party uninvited. as they were walking away, someone in a white car started shooting. >> i pretty much her just a couple gunshots. i saw kids running in every different direction. ryan: just 20 hours later, police were in this

shooting friday afternoon. one man was killed, another man shot multiple times. this 20-year-old came to hop front terrace to meet someone, but he was shot dead and found between two parked cars in the middle of the afternoon. a 23-year-old man was also shot, but he is recovering. >> i think people are in shock. i think that's basically it. it is such a nice neighborhood. ryan: a neighborhood now on edge, detectives now investigating to several shootings during what has been a violent weekend in montgomery county. tonight, in prince george's county, a man was shot while sitting in a car. police say they found that victim and kipling parkway around 4:30 in the afternoon. he was actually shot at pennsylvania avenue and parkland drive. we are told his injuries are not life-thrte

sheriff's deputy is recovering after a crash. they haven't given us much in the way of details, but we do know what happened at 3:00 -- it happened at 3:00 in the afternoon. a good news update on that fairfax county teen and baby who went missing. 16-year-old lizzie rivera and her little aidan returned home today. both are ok. the two were reported missing almost a month ago on january 15. police think she disappeared out of fear of the child's father. authorities say she is safe and at home and will work with the family to provide any needed assistance. week," senior policy advisor in the white house stephen miller repeated the president's unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud last november. >> you just claimed again there was ille

air is moving in, that is when the winds are starting to pick up for us. we could see a quick shower, seeing a few of those in pennsylvania right around hagerstown that could push in around 10:00 or midnight. nothing much more than that. what is going on? it's this wave of low pressure that worked its way across the area, and it brought us a few showers. that low continues to move into new england. check out all of the snow, places like boston picking up as much as a foot of snow. that low strengthens, deepens. what happens as high pressure moves in from the west? we get caught in between the two. when we get caught between the low and the high, that is when we see some of our windiest weather. tomorrow is when we will get our strongest gusts, in some places up to 60 miles per hour, so it is going to be a windy day. this
