conversations with russia's ambassador. flynn writing, "i inadvertently briefed the vice president elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the russian ambassador." flynn had previously told pence he did not discuss sanctions with the russian envoy, a false claim the vice president repeated on national tv. >> what i can confirm having spoken to him about it is that those conversations that happened to occur around the time that the united states took action to expel diplomats had nothing whatsoever to do with those sanctions. >> but that turned out to be false. administration officials told abc news the justice department warned the white house weeks ago that flynn may have misled officials and was potentially vulnerable to blackmail by the russians. on friday, flynn apologized to the president and vice president. but monday night in the oval office, the president met questions about flynn with si

take a look at this amazing video from northwest peru. that's bus with 16 people inside being swept away by flooding near a river that was overflowing. a police officer inside the van actually used his gun to smash the windows, and everyone got out. no serious injuries reported. flooding throughout the country has left 25 dead and affected more than 300,000 people since christmas. so the people in that van very lucky to make it out alive. >> yes, they are, absolutely. >> back here in this country and the nationwide sweepup of undocumented workers. the white house says it's part of keeping a campaign promise. >> the arrests sparking fear in immigrant communities. but immigration officials call the arrests routine. here's mary bruce in washington. >> reporter: this scene in the middle of the night in los angeles. federal agents waiting in this
