people inside and outside trump's campaign have repeated contacts with russian intelligence officials in the year leading up to the election. the times doesn't go into detail about the conversations but does give one name, paul manafort, his former campaign chairman fired over the summer. this morning manafort called the report ridiculous and said he never knowingly talked to russian officers. they said they didn't know they were talking to russian officials and the paper reported u.s. officials haven't seen any evidence that the trump team cooperated with russia in the hack of the democrats or had anything to do with it. contact with russian officials during the campaign would contradict what the white house said yesterday. >> there's nothing that would conclude nothing changed with respect to that time period. kenneth: president trump hosting prime minister netanyahu tweeted his defense and called the report fake news and conspiracy theories. on capitol hill, outrage over ex-national security advisor michael flynn discussing

not exactly a sweet homecoming for this 17-year-old. we just got an update from fairfax county police. they have nine people in custody. six of them juveniles connected to gang activity and now linked to a murder here in fairfax county. one of those juveniles is the 17-year-old who went missing from her apartment in ?4 alexandria back on january 15. well, we've been speaking to and she r this morning was pleading for the daughter to come home. last night she did and walked in the door of the apartment and the mother was emotional and elated but says quite frankly she's terrified and said she only had 10 minutes with her daughter last night and didn't have time to figure out where she was for the past 30 days before detectives took the teen away in handcuffs. police say venus ran away with a backpack full of clothes and now she's being questioned about the murder of her 15-year-old

was found on saturday at a park ear springfield. [speaking in foreign language] >> that girl also was reported missing for two months before her body was found. now, this mother, the mother of venus, arietta, said a detective called her early this morning. the daughter was held overnight. the detectives telling her to come to the detention center at 1:00 this afternoon and when police are also giving us a briefing on the latest on the charges. my colleague jeff goldberg will be at that press conference to tell us more about the people that are detained and we under 10 have now been identified. the mother here saying that it's been a roller coaster of
