i will only talk to kendis and diana. >> robin roberts tried it. michael strahan, said, i just got to "gma," why don't i interview sisqo, no, only us. >> we will get to that in a moment. >> first, begin with the other big story, the other big story. sweeping changes to immigration enforcement as candidate donald trump promised to take action now as president following through. >> new policies laid out by the trump administration could lead to the mass detention and deportation of many of the countries 11 million undocumented immigrants. >> the president is leaving some protections in place. specifically for the three quarters of a million people who came to the u.s. as children. abc's cecelia vega has details. >> reporter: trump administration signing off on new immigration rules that could put the majority of the country's 11 million undocumented immigrants at risk of deportation. an overhaul of the immigration system a promise at the heart of donald trump's campaign from the very beginning.

>> we are rounding them up in a very humane way. >> reporter: his pledge to target the worst of the worst. >> we have some bad hombres here we will get them out. >> reporter: new orders issued by department of homeland security go beyond that. under president obama the priority was deporting serious criminals. but the new policy directs immigration and border patrol agents to deport anyone convicted of any criminal offense including crimes like driving without a license. people charged but not convicted could be targeted too. as well as anyone an immigration officer deems a risk to public safety. in the past any undocumented immigrant arrested within two weeks of arriving in the country faced expedited deportation. now anyone who entered illegally within the past two years could face expedited deportation, a much larger group. its one of the goals here mass deportation? >> no. >> not at all? >> is

president trump's crackdown. people like guadalupe rios, an undocumented mother deported from phoenix her arrest sparking protests. and a woman, who is hunkered down in a denver church seeking sanctuary. but the new rules do not affect the more than 750,000 people who came to the country illegally as children. known as dreamers. >> they shouldn't be worried. they are here illegally. they shouldn't be worried. i do have a big heart. >> now, sean spicer said matter of dreamers is not settled. another part of the plan, a plan to hire 15,000 border patrol agents and immigration officers and to call on local police to help with deportations. how all this gets paid for remains to be seen. cecelia vega, abc news, the white house. >> thanks. president trump is denouncing anti-semitism. jewish groups were upset. that he ducked a question about anti-semitism in the u.s. at last week's news conference. then there was a rash of bomb threats to jewish community

centers around the country and desecration of a jewish cemetery near st. louis. his daughter ivanka weighed in addressing religious intolerance. the president spoke out during a speech at the african-american museum in washington. >> the anti-semitic threats, targeting jewish community and community centers, are horrible and are painful. and a very sad reminder of the work that still must be done to root out hate and prejudice and evil. >> now some critics are applauding the president. others though are dismissing the statement as "a band-aid on the cancer of anti-semitism." quote from one of the critics. another said the statement would have been better if it had been issued months earlier. >> the supreme court weighing arguments in a case, deadly shooting by a u.s. border agent. agent jesus mesa shot and killed a mexican teen on the mexican side of the border in 2010.

family can sue over their son's death in u.s. federal court. the high court deciding whether fourth amendment protections should apply when some one is not on american soil. so far, lower courts sided with agent mesa. >> missouri born army veteran charged with trying to provide support to isis. detention hearing friday for robert hester jr. hester accused of plotting a president's day attack on buses and trains in kansas city. captured friday, when he arrived at a meeting that he thought was with an isis sympathizer. >> a dam. >> northern california running out of room for all the rain water. a dam near san jose is full and is overflowing, the water raced down a creek into a neighborhood. hundreds had to be rescued. from the fast-moving water. they didn't have time
