recovering at medstar washington, where we have been seeing this all day long, d.c. police officers, some in plainclothes, others in uniform, coming by to check on their brothers in blue and hoping to get an update from doctors to find out when these officers will be discharged. the suspect in the shooting has died. he was shot multiple times, we are told. police did recover the suspect's gun. is happening just hours after interim police chief became the acting police chief. he was over in the trinidad neighborhood in northeast when this all went down late last night only about four miles from where we are here at the hospital. the acting police chief saying that they have some information but still a lot of investigating needs to be done. take innocent-- a listen. >> we had our prime officers in the area and at the intersection of holbrook and morse street

the most painful ones in the history of the show. week: we watch them every and they seem to be competitive, especially when they are trying to get that deal. how competitive are they when the cameras aren't on? elizabeth: totally. it doesn't stop. we did this shoot, and it was amazing, a very late night, took many hours. they are so fascinating. they wouldn't stop talking. they are trying to one up each other constantly. there is also, i must say -- listen, it is all their own money that they invest. when they fight on the show can those are real. that is not manufactured television. they are intensely competitive, and often competing to the nail to win the deep -- competing tooth and nail to win the deal, and often so angry when they lose the deal that they cannot speak to the other sharks for a little while. it is definitely all real and definitely not just for the camera, trust me. they continue for much longer
