thursday, the police began a homicide investigation. neighbors heard about three gunshots and found the teenager in desperate need of help not too far from a playground. >> all the kids play on that playground. it is shocking. that, ihem to be around don't even know. anna-lysa: the teenager was pronounced dead at the hospital. neighbors say that he was a student at potomac high school. saying,ent was released "the prince george's community is deeply saddened by the shooting that took the life of an 11th grader at potomac high school in oxon hill. we extend our deepest sympathies to loved ones." starting friday, there will be additional security staff and law enforcement officers in and around campus. >>
