investigation underway in district heights. our camera was rolling just after midnight in the 52-hundred block of marlboro pike, just outside of a liqour store. police tell us that an officer on routine patrol discovered an unresponsive man with trauma to his upper body. he was pronounced dead on the scene. no arrests have been made and police are still trying to find out what happened.

a warning for nature lovers this morning. police say a rabid fox bit a 71-year old virginia woman on tuesday. it happened as the woman was out for a walk near her home in great falls. the woman was able to fight the animal off and run to her neighbor for help. but her injuries were extensive. the fox also attacked a cat in a driveway. the cat's owner trapped the fox until animal control arrived. the cat had its rabies vaccination, so it should be fine. the woman will need a series of rabies shots in the days and weeks ahead. a big change for the washington redskins. not on the field-- but in the front office. espn's john kiem is reporting g-m scott mccloughan is no longer involved in the team's decision making. mccloughan has been m-i-a for weeks, and was not present at the senior bowl or the nfl combine. we reached out to the redskins for an explanation. the
