look at the map. it is like spring again. 70 in leesburg. plenty of sunshine. the air is dry. there is an enhanced fire risk. what may be a surprise to you is how radically change over the next 48 hours. today near 70. 60's this afternoon. tonight, clouds will start to increase ahead of a cold front that will change everything. satellite shows the beginning of the front moving in our direction from new york state. it will arrive overnight. temperatures will fall. we are looking at the possibility that early tomorrow morning as the broncos through and colder air rushes in, we could have areas of snow in the morning or rain mixed with snow. most of it rain. clearing and colder in the afternoon. how much colder are we talking? by friday, 30's. by the time we get into saturday, wind chill's will be in the single digits. teams in the

the reward is nearly up to a quarter of a million dollars. jummy: here at home, a woman is charged with kidnapping after an incident at medstar washington hospital center. police say a patient posed as a fire a signature inspector to gain access to the hospital command center. then allegedly tried to stab an employee with a box cutter twice. alexander tried to force that employee to call her sister, who was also in the hospital. instead, the victim called for help. alexander was caught at a nearby hospital. a new study released today finds traffic ticket mean big business in d.c. the city issued more than 2.7 million traffic and parking citations in 2016 according to aaa. the tickets were worth nearly $300 million in revenue, but not

everybody is dry. with gusty winds and warm temperatures, brushfires can start like that. be careful outside today. precipitation from overnight will temporarily help, but not in the long-term. we need a big long-term rain event to do any good. on the other side of things, you can enjoy this. sunshine and temperatures in the 70's. 72 in manassas and fredericksburg. 71 in washington. absolutely delightful weather. get outside. the change is real and coming. things start to cool off a little bit tonight. as that is happening, a cold front and area of low pressure approached. this area in blue is denoting areas with possible snow expected tomorrow morning. 5:00 in the morning, 47 degrees. 39 in frederick. snow will melt on contact. maybe grassy areas will get accumulation. 7:30, temperatures still well above freezing. snow will fall.
