snow and bitter cold that could last for days. the radar shows the storm moving eastward from the great lakes. winter weather alerts are now in effect in nine states. pretty big storm. one aspect of the storm is the intins wind gusting at more than 50 miles an hour, peaking at more than 100 in parts of new hampshire, in michigan the windstorm that's already whipped across that state has left hundreds of thousands without electricity. some customers could be in the dark for several more days. so the question now for many, what path will the storm take and also many are wondering which areas will be hit the hardest. >> and accuweather's justin povick has all the answers. he joins us now with the details. good morning. >> kendis, linzie, thanks. we're track throughout the morning into the early afternoon heading in toward tarred boston and points off to the south but again wrapping up earlier toward the noontime hour new york city. we're
