>> now, abc 7 news at noon, on your side. jummy: right now, still some snowflakes falling out there. a bitterly cold weekend ahead. temperatures tonight could drop into the single digits. also tracking the possibility of a storm next week. we have team coverage in the studio and on the roads, starting with chief meteorologist doug hill. doug: most of the snow and rain has moved east of the area for the moment, a few snow showers in the mountains at highlands. along interstate 81 we have some snow flurries. closer to home, he can see the back edge of the line and the mix has moved east of 301 and the bay. in some areas we made

see sunshine breaking through in the next couple of hours, and the strong gusty wind comes through. 36 in hagerstown and winchester. 38 degrees in annapolis. as we look ahead over what will happen this afternoon, temperatures will stay steady or fall with breaks of sunshine and strong, gusty wind. the weekend will be cold and breezy. wind chills in the single digits tomorrow, eyes only in the 30's. on sunday, and chances of a coastal storm developing monday night into tuesday. town, suzanne kennedy found snowflakes falling in the hagerstown area and she has more from storm trak 7. suzanne: the first day of spring maybe just 10 days away but it certainly feels like winter. take a look at the snow they have had falling for a couple of hours in hagerstown, sticking to cars and the grass.

temperatures only expected to be around 14 with a wind chill. another problem coming with all of the runners are the road closures all over the district. q mccray has all you need to know. : right here in front of rfk memorial stadium is where it starts tomorrow. they already have some fence up and some 10 as well. this sixth annual rock n roll marathon starts tomorrow morning and they are expecting 20,000 people to take part. d.c. police will have to shut down a lot of roads and they have some cruisers out here now. from 2:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. d.c. police will be shutting down roads to accommodate the marathon runners so keep that in mind if you have errands to run, or are trying to get to the starting line early tomorrow morning. the same for public transportation. because of safetrack, metro will not be running unt 7

we had another tease of spring yesterday, 74 degrees, and now reality, it is still winter for 10 days. we are going to feel like winter and we may look like winter monday night into tuesday. almost an inch and a half of snow this morning and hagerstown. in garrett county, maryland, oakland, three and a half inches. sessionsy in northern -- sections, five inches. the most we saw around here was this little white snow balls that were falling, no well-defined flakes due to the fact that the temperatures were a little bit too warm and melted on the way down. it is out of here and done. temperatures have been falling. i do not think we will go a whole lot higher but areas with sunshine this afternoon

gusty wind developing. i think we have the potential in sunny areas to go up a few more degrees but eventually everyone will see the temperatures crash night as high pressure builds in. say 45 is theill high today but most areas will be below that. gusty wind from 10 to 20 miles per hour and higher. this is lake-effect snow coming with the high wind. cold air effects coming over the mountains. we will definitely be cold. we will get through the weekend with a lot of sunshine but monday night into tuesday we are looking at the possibility of a coastal storm and we are at a 30% to 50% chance it could be significant accumulation. there is a chance it will not develop until monday and will develop further north.

against one of the most brutal christian pastors, and this man was convicted of child abuse and sentenced to 20 years in prison, a harsh sentence that the judge says he hopes sends a message to the rest of the country. jummy: i understand you interviewed officials at the family research council. what did they have to say? >> they told us there were no such places like the kind we found in alabama, and they also defend strongly the use of this therapy saying parents should have the right to send their kids to any kind of mental health therapy they want. that is contested by leading medical organizations, including the surgeon general, who says ms. conversion therapy is not effective and could cause harm to teenagers. jummy: a boy named lucas errs on 20/20 tonight followed by abc 7 news at 11:00.
