increase to 24 million over the next decade. the white house disagrees saying regulatory changes aren't considered... it wasn't all bad news. on the plus side-- the c-b-o estimates the bill would cut the deficit by 337 billion dollars in the next decade. the snow and cold air are coming at the worst time for d.c.'s cherry blossoms. they're now expected to reach peak bloom this sunday.. if they survive. the national park service says cold weather is more of a threat to the blossoms than the snow. and temperatures could dip into the low twenties during the next three nights. the national park service says if temperatures dip down to 24 degrees, 90-percent of the blossoms could die.
