stopped hours before going into effect. now, abc 7 news at 11:00 am on your side. jonathan: first, disturbing campus,sted on the umd among them "america is a white nation." alison: anna-lysa gayle is covering this. what are they saying about where these came from? anna-lysa: that is what the campus police are trying to figure out. students i talked to are outraged. they do not believe these flyers represent their diverse campus. >> you see things like that and it brings you back to a time when minorities were not appreciated on this campus. were the flyers that were recently spotted in some locations around the university of maryland. i come from a chinese immigrant family, and it's unwelcoming. it said "it is your civic duty to report any

aliens to the u.s. immigrations and customs enforcement." it is like white nationalist people on campus. it's sad. >> it's surprising to me because i do anna-lysa: not feel that is the culture around here. anna-lysa:in a statement, the university said, "as a community we stand for diversity and stand against all forms of ignorance and hate umd is investigating this as a hate highest." the particular phil -- they are investigating this as a hate bias. the particular flyer that was spotted was spotted by a professor. similar fliers were spotted across campus. jonathan: president trump's revised travel ban halted before going into effect. alison: a federal judge in hawaii stopped temporarily. what happens next?

this. tim: the president said he will fight this ruling and if possible take it all the way to the supreme court. another block of the president. a federal judge in hawaii blocked the revised temporary travel ban for people coming from six majority muslim countries. >> i think we all to go back to the first one and go all the way. tim: people in the states were also trying to stop the ban, including in maryland. attorney say that it discriminates against muslims because of their religion full stop lawyers for the federal government said the executive order is about protecting americans by keeping terrorists out of the united states. they also argue it is only temporary until we improve screening for immigrants and refugees. >> we are going to keep our citizens safe. and regardless, we are going to keep our citizens safe, believe me. tim:

somehow involve the mail and the woman was not hurt. there is a reward for information that leads to arrest. and a tentative plea deal for the man accused of opening fire in a d.c. pizza restaurant last year. edgar welch went to comet ping-pong because a child sex ring. nobody was hurt in the shooting. we will hear about the plea deal in a hearing next week. jonathan: a convicted serial killer back in court on his appeal. sure all severance was convicted to prison -- sure all severance was convicted to prison. his attorney said the cases should have been separated at trial. a ruling is expected sometime this spring. more than 200 people charged in the inauguration day riots. the cases against them are moving forward, but the judge wants prosecutors to share more information with defense lawyers. according to "the washington post,"

say the truck driver got out and realized he was stuck in the snow. overheated and caught fire as he was trying to get out. everybody got away safely. alison: a chilling lawsuit in california. a woman said that a hotel worker gave a stranger a key to her room and that she was sexually assaulted. the incident happened at a in 2014.nn express the lawsuit says that a drunk man offered a woman money for sexual favors. down, heturned him asked for a key to the victim's hotel room. jonathan: a high-speed car chase in phoenix. this started when a man who was wanted for murder stole a woman's corvette. at one point, this was over 100 miles per hour. it ended when the police rammed the car. seconds after the crash, shots were fired. tonight, we know the driver died from his injuries.

drive-through window to save somebody's life, this is quick thinking. the mcdonald's worker saw a woman in need, suffering a medical emergency with kids in her car. he jumps out, stops the car, gets her out. the worker and two off-duty paramedics ran out to help. say she is a police officer and she is alive. a month after helping save her life, and emotional meeting in georgia. alison: tonight was the first time she met the air traffic landoller, who helped her safely when the throttle on her small plane was stuck. >> we will cut power right before you touchdown. you will be fine. we will have equipment standing by to help you on the runway. >> you are faced with the death, and in that moment you don't know how to react. alison:
