killer, next. >> now, abc 7 news at 11:00, on your side. teenagers first,two in custody accused of a crime, both suspected of being in the country is legally. alison: that i the first time, parents had a chance to hear from school officials. jonathan: tom roussey begins team coverage. he spoke with the montgomery county school superintendent about the investigation that is now hitting the national news. what did he say? tom: he had a lot to say. it took five days, but finally the school system has held a press conference to respond to the alleged crime. >> this is what i want to share with you tonight. tom: under fire for a rape case an

the montgomery county school spring tenet spoke. >> we do not know the immigration status because of the law. in: both teenager accused thursday's rate are suspected of being of the country illegally for stop during the school day, henry sanchez and hose a montano allegedly dragged a girl into rockville high bathroom stall and repeatedly raped her. both entered the u.s. last summer and the superintendent said that no vetting was done on them. >> we do not do background checks on students. tom: some question why sanchez and 18 was allowed to enroll as a freshman rather than an alternative program. >> he was enrolled in the services that he needed. tom: it happened in a remote back area of the school. ice

family members say mcallister monday night, while on spring break, was in this northeast d.c. parking lot watching the filming of a friend's rap video when she was shot. this 18-year-old who participated in the maryland state police cadet program was hit by gunfire and died tuesday morning. >> she is not the type of kid who would involve herself in anything of that nature. she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. jay: an empathetic embrace from a place of unthinkable pain. anthony mcallister's cousin lost his son only a couple of months ago and in unrelated gun violence. this family has mourned a lifetime in only weeks. >> these random acts -- i don't understand what it will take to get them to stop. jay: the police do not have a motive or suspect in either homicide case. jay korff, abc 7 news. j thanks.
