wiretapping. why the president feels vindicated, but it's not over yet. >> now, abc 7 news at 11:00 am on your side. alison: london is in shock tonight, four people dead, 40 wounded when terror struck in the heart of the city. shotlle: the attacker was by the police, but not before a rampage spanning several crime scenes. tom roussey traces the path of the investigation happening now. tom: this happened in a heavy rism area in central london. the terrorist is accused of hitting multiple people on the bridge, then making a left turn into parliament where he crashed into the fence, running onto the property and stabbing a police officer to death before he was killed. police in the u.k. suspect islamic extremism was behind the terrorist attack. >> and we will all move forward together. ne

tom: the police officer who was stabbed was 48-year-old keith palmer, a husband and father. he was killed near the entrance of westminster hall. the alleged terrorist was then shot and killed. moments before, he had injured dozens on the bridge, sending one woman into the river. after crashing, the terrorist made it onto parliament property, but not inside, where members were meeting. >> this was for real. tonight, british police believe they know the name of the attacker, but they are not making a public right now. we don't have the names of the other victims, but we do know that tourists were among those injured. alison: the eiffel tower is dark tonight, showing solidarity with the victims of today's attack.

details about the maryland man accused of a hate crime stabbing in new york city. alison: the suspected killer is a military veteran. lindsey mastis is at the live desk, tracking the investigation. the reason this baltimore man travel to new york city is because he believed it's the media capital of the world and he wanted attention for his crime. the suspect fled on surveillance tape, allegedly stabbing a 66-year-old man to death with a 26-inch sword. the police say that he did it simply because the victim was black. >> it is believed he was specifically targeting male blacks. he had been harboring feelings of hate towards them. sey: afterwards, he went to a police station and confessed. he is an army veteran who served in afghanistan for the police do not believe anyone else was attacked. michelle: thank
