in critical condition. anna-lysa gayle is live along west deal court. what are police telling you? anna-lysa: we have learned that a little girl and a man were found dead and two others are in critical condition following the shooting on westdale court inside of a townhouse. investigatorsme have been going in and out of the last few hours. deputies have recent to believe the man found dead was the gun man, but that is still under investigation. they first responded at 8:17 after neighbors heard gunshots. those same neighbors are trying to figure out what led to this deadly shooting. >> it's terrible. >> it's extremely troubling when we have multiple people shot. we don't know what the motive is, and it does not matter at this point. we know we have children hurt,

police say it was because they are not allowed to stay stationary and they refused to move. we will keep you posted on the vote right here on abc 7 and wjla.com. alison: into the newsroom, secret service workers are facing disciplinary action over this month's white house security breach. cnn is reporting the agency is taking action against at least six employees. earlier this month, a fence jumper wandered the white house grounds for 15 minutes before being arrested. those facing discipline include uniformed personnel and special agents. we continue tonight to follow a tragedy out of calvert county. horace: it is tragic. an eight-month-old baby was killed in a dog attack. the police responded and shot the dog, but it was too late. as anna-lysa gayle reports, the community is in shock. >anna-lysa:

rushed to the house in lusby just after 1 p.m. thursday, where in eight-month-old boy was being attacked by a family dog. a family friend was his babysitter. >> he is outside covered in blood. when deputies arrived, the dog was shot to death in order to stop the attack. they soon determine the infant died from his injuries. this neighbor who asked not to be identified drove by as the police surrounded the court. >> as a mom, i had tears in my eyes. it was really heartbreaking. everybody's in shock. they feel horrible for the family. anna-lysa: anna-lysa gayle, abc 7 news. horace: the police have scheduled a news conference about the investigation tomorrow. stay with abc 7 for new information. alison: a

prince george's county police officer is facing drunk driving charges for a second time. officer christopher brown clipped a tractor-trailer on the beltway and crashed his cruiser into a guardrail. he then left the scene, but returned and was arrested for drunk driving. in 2012, pled guilty to crashing a cruiser while drunk. he was disciplined but not fired back then. tonight, the chief said he finds the incident "greatly troubling." he apologized to the community and said he will take action when he has all the facts. steve: gearing up for a chilly start friday morning, starting in the 30's. we will rebound nicely as we move through the midmorning and into the afternoon. attic clouds during the early morning, macy see a shower, but don't expect a lot. -- added clouds in the early morning, may see a shower, but don't expect a lot

plus, tracking the rain sunday. the timing of that coming up. scenes on the streets of d.c. during the presidential inauguration. now a lawsuit over how the police handle that. michelle marsh has the update. horace, the group behind the lawsuit claims the police department is withholding documents about how the january 20 protest was handled. more than 200 people were arrested. the suit said that mpd and interim police chief peter newsham refused to release police records that they claim should be made available to the public under the first amendment and federal laws. notsuit asks that newsham be confirmed until there is a full investigation into the actions and a release of the documents for stop we reached out to mpd for a response. they sai

pending litigation. alison: a 75-year-old man injured in yesterday's terror attack in london has died. that brings the death toll to four. one american is among the dead. a utah resident and his wife were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. the police say the attacker acted alone. he was known to authorities as an islamic extremist. the police are carrying out raids across the country and have arrested a people already. horace: a jewish teenager arrested for threatening jewish community centers? the police say he is behind several bomb threats that radel jewish institutions across the united states. the motive remains unknown. details inlling new a hate crime investigation in new york city. the suspect telling police he stabbed a man because he was black

practice. james jackson of maryland told the police that he wanted to kill others. he was arraigned today on murder charges. horace: rockville high school and epicenter of threats and fear following a disturbing student rape investigation. the two teenagers charged are expected -- suspected of being here illegally. the police confirmed a threat to burn down the school and shoot illegals. >> the idea somebody would want to shoot the illegals in our schools makes everyone uncomfortable and is not reflect the values of montgomery county. horace: there was a protest in bethesda with an appearance of governor larry hogan. abc 7 asked the governor about the case. he said it is an ongoing investigation and he is waiting for all of the facts. alison: a driver is dead tonight after a crash involving a school bus. the police a that her car crossed the centerline and

the school bus head on. sky track 7 flew over the scene in la plata. there were no students on the bus at the time. the bus driver was not hurt. an arrest tonight after a man tried to steal more than $800,000 of jewelry from sears. this happened st. patrick's day night at the sears and white oak. the police say that the person hit in the store until it closed, then used a hammer from the hardware section to smash open the jewelry cases. officers caught him running up front door and he had $830,000 in loot. an elderly veteran gets the gift of a lifetime. >> people were so nice to give. it made me cry. horace: tears of joy. how he wants to use his bucket list to help fellow veterans.
