abc's serena marshall is here now to break it down for us. good morning. >> reporter: it is a campaign promise republicans are desperately trying to keep. the repeal and replace of the affordable care act is do or dais an all out scramble developed yesterday. negotiations ending late last night as lawmakers offered changes to the bill to get members of the ultra conservative freedom caucus on board hoping to shore up the 216 votes needed to pass the house. the concessions to those conservatives includes getting rid of requirements that insurance companies have a basic standard of care that include maternity care, substance abuse treatment and wellness checkups but the provision would also provide an additional $15 billion for states to address health care needs. paul ryan leaving the late night meeting with husband republicans promising even though the votes were delayed yesterday, today is the day. >> for 7 1/2 years, we have been promising the american people that we will repeal and replace

their 25th wedding anniversary. 54-year-old kurt cochran was killed on the bridge. his wife melissa remains hospitalized. the death toll in that attack now stands at five including the attacker. and back here at home, terrifying moments as a gas explosion rocks a western pennsylvania neighborhood. a house was completely leveled by the blast. witnesses reported hearing a loud boom followed by several smaller bursts. two dogs were inside the home but they survived. one suffered an eye injury and burns but no other injuries were reported. investigators are looking into what may have sparked that gas explosion. and al an apparent book burning in florida. is what spark add i wildfire that overtook homes nearby. the rapidly spreading blaze forced about 200 residents to get away from their houses. after scorching nearly 700 acres, the fire is about 80% contained this morning. a few more minor injuries were reported however. the man accused of
