horace: an alert howard county police officer is credited with breaking up a human trafficking ring. officers pulled over a car yesterday. in thespected the woman car with the driver was a human trafficking victim. the driver is accused of trafficking nine women to texas. they say that he transported women to hotels. michelle: new developments in a deadly shooting at a home in waldorf. the police say the incident was a murder suicide. neighbors heard shots fired on westdale court and called the police. carlson goodwin shot his wife and two daughters, ages 4 and 17 and turned the gun on himself. both girls died. their mother is expected to survive. horace:

family of five cannot go home tonight after a massive fire in woodbridge. firefighters say that the fire was so intense so fast that those inside had to jump from a second-floor. two adults and three kids were hurt, but not seriously. michelle: we want to clear out what has been spreading messages about missing girls in the district. picturesave seen these , retweets about them, including one from ll cool j, but the police are reiterating tonight they are not putting out reports on all -- they are now putting out reports him on missing persons under 16 and over the age of 65, but they say almost all of them eventually turn up. >> we want are missing girls returned. michelle: the message from the police is this -- young women are not being kidnapped.

tennessee school bus driver pled not guilty in a deadly crash. the authorities say that jonathan walker was speeding in november when he swerved and crashed. six kids on the school bus were killed. walker was charged with using electric device while driving. michelle: the former president of penn state university convicted in connection with the sandusky sex abuse scandal. he was found guilty of child endangerment. he failed to report allegations of abuse by former assistant football coach gerry sandusky. it took the jury 13 hours to reach a verdict. a guilty plea from a man accused of opening fire and a d.c. restaurant full stop edgar monthss facing 18 to 60 oin federal prison. he fired shots inside of comet ping-pong. michelle: on this friday

night, a story to inspire us -- a veteran wounded in afghanistan, a double amputee, nelly police officer. horace: he lost his legs in 2011 and uses prosthetics, but he would not let go of his dream to become a law-enforcement officer. he started training at a police academy in upstate new york and says that giving up was not an option. >> i think my injury made me a better person and made me appreciate who i am, where i come from, and the ability to continue to do what i love to do. horace: he is set to graduate from the academy tomorrow and become the department's first double amputee. michelle: wow. and wrong journey for an elderly couple in wheelchairs. michelle: they were flying to michigan and wound up on the wrong airplane landing in new york. they got lost, and what they are saying now.
