considering a bill to make maryland a sanctuary state. governor hogan opposes this move but today is jeff sessions said approving that legislation would be a mistake. michelle: president trump's pick for the supreme court is on ice for now. senate democrats forced one-year delay in a committee vote on neil gorsuch's nomination. several democrats including senate minority leader chuck schumer promised to filibuster the nomination. jonathan: president trump's son-in-law says he will speak to the senate to talk about russia. jared kushner said he will be interviewed as part of the senate intelligence committee probe to russian interference in the presidential election. michelle: we may have alerted another columbine. that is the conclusion from the police in frederick county after they say they busted a teenage girl planning to attack the school using pipe bombs and a shotgun. brad bell has new information about the plot focused on catoctin high

thurmont. brad? brad: yeah. catoctin high school in thurmont, a small town. sits in the shadow of camp david. the town is rattled. the sheriff telling us he has no doubt that this attack was going to be carried out. >> everyone jenkins is stunned by the plot. he says that 18-year-old nichole cevario bought this .12-gauge shotgun and materials to make a pipe bomb with fireworks as the explosives with the intend to carry out a suicidal mass killing next week at her school. catoctin high in thurmont. >> it was clear to us she had the means, the materials to cause significant damage to herself, and the student body. it was clear she was struggling with mental health issues. michelle:

reported his concerns to the school and the police came and took her out of the class and the spokesman inside the catoctin high stressed the father and the school reacted properly. >> its a tight-knit school and community. we have 800 students here. today they are focused on learning. brad: you heard the sheriff refer to the mental health issues at a press conference at the frederick county sheriff office this afternoon. the young woman is hospitalized tonight. she is undergoing an emergency psychiatric evaluation. the sheriff says when she is released she will face the two charges related to the possession of explosives for making destructive device. but the investigation continues. they want to get to the bottom of why she allegedly wanted to carry this out and why she targeted a specific date. april 5, they don't have answers. in frederick, brad bell, abc7 news. michelle: what we k

jonathan: fire and chaos in oakland. this is a rtc:esidential buildg that went up in flames, i mean completely up in flames. people running out of the building said the sprinklers never turned on. they never heard alarms going off. only people screaming and shattering glass. one person was killed. four others had to be hospitalized. the firefighters did rescue 15 people from inside and right now as you can imagine an investigation is ongoing. michelle: twice she tried to jump the us who fence. twice she got caught. a judge ordered marci wahl held without bond. wahl was arrested over the weekend trying to jump the white house fence in her third arrest in a week. the first was when she tried to jump the fence but her shoe laces got t

10-week-old puppy is recovering after being found emaciate and near death in howard county. someone called 911 finding the puppy in a container friday afternoon. animal control took the puppy "eddie" to an emergency clinic. the vet said that eddie is now responding well to treatment and already received adoption requests. officials are looking for whoever left eddie in bad shape. well, in less than an hour rockville's mayor and city council are holding a public hearing on a proposal to expand the city smoking ban to the outdoor eating areas to local bar and restaurant. under the current ban, the first-time violators can be fined up to $50. michelle: "7 on your side" with the health matters. break through that sounds like science fiction. massachusetts researchers say they may be able to repair a human heart using spinach, of all things. they did it swatching the spinach leaf cells with the human
