nancy: her kids describe her as the best mother in the world, but a woman's life was cut short by a hit and run driver. jonathan: the police say this was intentional and it may have been random. tim barber has the investigation right now. tim: this is where the woman was hit, about a mile down the road. the suspect was arrested at the shopping center and his damaged car was found in the parking lot. when maria did not return from her morning walk, her daughter became terrified that she might be the victim in this deadly hit and run around the corner. i said, please, no, i hope it's not my mom. ozcanhey say that kenan ran over ascencio twice. >>

there is an amber alert issued in the state of virginia. jarvisar-old dominique sister are with her mother and she has three to harm them. if you see them, please call 911 right away. retired army general facing rape charges, the alleged crime dating back to the 1980's. he is charged with six counts of rape of a minor. he retired in 2005. the army says the criminal investigation is still ongoing. jonathan: at least one person fired after a convicted sex offender was allowed to drive a d.c. schoolbus. the man was a former bus driver who just gotten out of prison, walked out, and got to work right away. >> here i

michelle: we have developing news, a sexual assault scandal at a connecticut boarding school. an investigation of the choate rosemary hall school has thedents dating back to 1960's. at least 12 former faculty members are accused of sexual misconduct. there is at least one case of rape. the incidents were not reported to the police. instead, teachers were allowed to resign, retire, or in some cases keep teaching. the school tonight is apologizing and thanking the former students who came forward. nancy: video of damage to the
