♪ noon. abc 7 news at on your side. >> we begin with the weather. a bit cleanup underway after heavy rain and wind toppled trees and damaged buildings last night. much more on that coming up. we are not in the clear. a live look outside right now, more wet weather and possible thunderstorms this afternoon. let's get to molly cochran for more on what we can expect.

it looks sunny and bright now but under a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms later today . mainly around 3:00 to 7:00. now, not much going on, a few showers to the northwest and buture of clouds and sun the heating of the day, dew points in the 50's and 60's, key ingredients to help fuel thunderstorms. on futurecast, around 4:00 to 6:00 tonight is when we could be talking gusty thunderstorms. some could bring in a quick downpour where we see the shades of red, thunder, and also smaller sized hail and damaging winds. the main and fax moving forward through this evening. my 8:00 tonight, moving to the east. the good thing about the storms, very quick. we will have more on this in a bit and my extended forecast. stay tuned. back to you. lindsey:

as people continue to cleanup from yesterday storms. the winds were so strong that it uprooted trees and knocked down power lines. and prince george's county, people were forced from their homes after a wall in their apartment collapsed. john gonzales has more. or microburst is how some residents and prince george's county describing what came through overnight. one high-rise shook so badly that it had to be evacuated to check for structural damage. >> it look like it was snowing because it was blowing hard. like a bad poor movie. -- horror movie. significant, is windows from apartments and townhomes shattered and trees landed on structures, cars, and power lines. roads and major intersections closed. >> all of a sudden we saw the wind and things were shaking.

it came out of nowhere. it dropped right on us. >> most of the region was hit with heavy wind and strong rain but adelphi was apparently struck with something greater, that is what it felt like. >> felt like the last day of my life. >> the trees have been snapped in half but look at this massive tree. it looks like it was twisted out of the ground and landed on top of two vehicles, bringing down utility poles. the wood chipper has arrived and the cleanup will take days. it could be weeks if not months before the damage is repaired and replaced. >> i did not think there would be this much damage and this many trees down. >> in a delphi, john gonzalez. lindsey: this just in, we know the identity of the young woman depicted in this get she was murdered and prince george's county.

easter morning. i say she knocked on a stranger's door looking for help before collapsing in the front yard. police are searching for a suspect. anyone with information should call prince george's county police. turning to the war on terror. we are learning more about the deadly attack in paris. a gunman opened fire in one of the most popular tourist bought in the world. one police officer is dead and to hurt. isis has claimed responsibility. molly hunter is at the scene in paris. >> shots fired on the tad cummins. chaos -- shots fired in the champs-elysees and chaos. >> absolute chaos. panic. with all the people on the street, people were falling down. >> the attack started thursday night on the city's famous avenue. a gunman pulling up alongside a police

opened fire. police called it a military style weapon. >> over here, about 10 feet from the shooter. we saw the shooter and black, have a black rifle, look like an ar-15. it sounded like an ar-15. right now 10 shots towards the police on the road. at that time, my wife yelled, run. >> the attacker killed one police officer and wounded two others and a bystander. investigators found a shotgun and nine inside the attack are. the suspect was shot dead. a 39-year-old man from an eastern suburb of paris reportedly spent years in prison for attempting to kill two police officers. released in 2015. earlier this year, brought back in for questioning but not enough to hold him and no sign of radicalization. a claim of responsibility from isis, saying the attacker was belgian and not french.

injured. a memorial for the army specialist killed and the black hawk helicopter crash. the service for him was held this morning at a chapel in fort belvoir. the chopper went down on a golf course on monday. two others were injured. the cause of the crash is under investigation. parents are on edge in prince george's county, where a substitute teacher and coach is facing child pornography charges . he worked at bradbury heights elementary school, as a coach with south county sports academy . sam sweeney has more on the investigation. >> prince george's county police have been working on this case for months, originally tipped off in december by the internet company, dropbox, an online filesharing service. when they showed up to his house yesterday, he admitted to having more than 150 videos of children as young as five years old and six years old performing acts on one another
