$40,000 missing from the p.t.a. checking account. it could be a a little more or less. it happened in march when the board members from the council of parent teacher association began asking questions about the reports of missing funds. an audit found since july 1, 2016, subsequent -- significant irregularities found and call it the theft of a substantial sum likely by someone inside the p.t.a. organization. the president of the group paul gellar turned over records this past friday. the investigators are just starting to look at this but parents are outraged. >> i think it's criminal. i'm shocked. i think we ought to pursue it and find out where the money is.
