getting underway on campus at the chapel. for an incident they are describing as a racist threat. several bananas have been found at three different locations on campus. all hanging by a news with the it. haramba written on the person or persons behind it wrote aka, referring to a predominantly black sorority at american university. a cruel and hateful message -- they were also found on monday, the same day the newly elected student government president took office, the first african-american woman to hold that role on campus. she happens to be a member of output -- alpha kappa alpha. >> i think it is ridiculous, i came to

this is an issue that is not going away and the airlines will be held accountable. airlines, the major including united, alaska, southwest, and american, testified today. lawmakers told the industry leaders people are being crammed on aircraft like never before and that is testing the patience of passengers and flight attendants. the hearing is a result of a series of high-profile incidences, most notably this one on april 9 when dr. david dao was forcibly removed from a united airlines flight 3411. the united ceo said what happened on the aircraft was a breach of public trust and vowed to do better for customers. >> this has to be a turning point for the 87,000 people and professionals at united and it is my mission to make sure we make the changes needed to provide our customers with the highest levels of service you come to accept, reliability and a deeper sense of respect and trust.

something that happened to our family last week, i am sorry. >> the audience silent as jimmy kimmel held back tears as he recounted the moment nurse's new -- something was wrong. untilseemed to be healthy three hours, we moved the recovery room when a very attentive nurse at cedars-sinai hospital was checking him out and heard a murmur in his heart which is common with newborn babies. she also noticed he was purple, which is not common. they didn't echocardiogram, a sonogram of the heart and found he was born with a heart disease. it is hard to explain, the pulmonary valve was completely blocked and he has a role in the wall between the left a

and right side of his heart. we put the baby and am blessed to children's hospital los angeles and on monday morning, dr. scarns fixed one of the two defects. the operation was a success, the longest three hours of my life.
