>> so today we are here announcing that with this addition, that, that we brought to the president, and sold him on an over hour meeting with him in here, we are beth yes's on the bill. comb p the amendment would give states $8 billion over five years to help cover those with pre-existing conditions. allowing those to charge those with pre-existing condition more money. >> it is a joke, a very sad, deadly joke. >> american cancer society calling changes particularly egregious. and ama warning, they'll get second-class health care coverage if they're able to obtain coverage at all. republicans hopeful they will have enough support to pass the measure through the house. health experts say that $# billion is just a drop in the bucket. and it wouldn't do much to cover a majority of people with pre-existing conditions, at risk for seeing their premiums

the world of really bad. look this was terrible. makes me mildly naup shus to think we may have had impact on the election. i would make the same decision. >> comey was also asked why he waited until after the election to reveal there was an ongoing investigation into contacts between russia and the trump campaign. he said he believes he treated both investigations consistently. consistently under the same principles. >> former national security adviser susan rice turned down a reap quest to testify at a senate hearing on russian interference. rice's attorney says invitation came from republican senator lindsay graham and pointed out that other obama administration officials who planned to testify, received bipartisan requests. rice vehemently denied improperly unmasking names of americans in u.s. surveillance. president trump recently said she may have commit aid crime. >> new round of heavy rain is pounding parts of the midwest. and the south. already ravaged by deadly flooding. major

and traffic is shut down along a busy section of the mississippi river near st. louis. now, levees are weakened in some spots. and swollen rivers are spilling over their banks. swamping entire neighborhoods. the downpours aren't expected to let up until at least friday. that's forcing home and business owners to, to keep watch, 24/7. >> we have been up all night. running pumps. we have five pumps running in here. trying to keep the water pumped out. >> arkansas's governor now says nine levees have burst in the northeast part of the state. now three of those are major breaches. and the governor says that so far, seven people have died. one a child is missing. and hundreds of people, still cannot go home. >> and -- an event at buckingham palace. sparked concern overnight. the daily mail reporting that royal staffers from several of the queen's homes were urgently called to london for emergency meeting. the palace tells abc news overnight it had no comment. now

apparently held on occasion. it is not believed to be an indication that the queen or prince philip are in poor health. the queen is 91 years old. prince philip turns 96 in june. >> breaking overnight -- investigation under way after two people were shot dead at a bar near dallas. police say a gunman entered the sports bar last night got into an argument with the emplyy and shot and killed the man. a customer armed with a legal pistol confronted the gunman and shot him dead. investigators are trying to determine the gunman's motive and whether he knew the employee. >> north lake college suburban dallas shut down until monday after a murder suicide. abc is in irving, texas with details. >> reporter: chaos on north lake college campus. just before noon when the gunfire erupted. the campus put on lockdown as police intact cal gear search for an active shooter. this math tutor saw it all. >> the girl was sitting in the

tolled 19 times to symbolize the life of harrison brown. a popular student and friends described him as a talented musician. three other students were injured in the stabbing attack. police say the attacker was also enrolled at the university. and had suffered from mental health troubles. >> former teacher tad cummins transferred where he will face kidnapping and sex crime charges. accused of kidnapping former student. 15-year-old elizabeth thomas taking her on ape cross-country trip. arrested in northern california april 20th. unclear when cummins will arrive in tennessee. authorities say he will make a court appearance shortly after that arrival. and a florida man is under arrest after a bizarre incident caught on camera. dash-cam video shows the man's pickup truck backing into a patrol car. he jumps out. while the truck is moving. and then, dances in the road. wearing own boxer shorts. and the officer eventually tatzed
