jonathan: at 4:00, we are on storm watch. nancy: drenching rain heading at us. it could create traffic snarls. alison: the worst of it will come in the friday morning commute. let's go straight to stormwatch7's chief meteorologist doug hill who has the forecast. doug: form is a weather alert day. high likelihood of a significant impact in the morning commute because of the heavy rain. the heaviest rain will fall in the morning commute. it's all showing up on satellite and radar. a lot of rain from the south and eventually from the atlantic ocean. one to two inches when it tapers off. this is 2:30 in the morning when the whole area should see the rain, heavier elements down south. by 6:30, numerous downpours, isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds throughout the entire time. we move forward to 8:30. pockets of moderate to heavy rain moving through. we get to midday and it slows down a bit. when we get to late afternoon another shower or thunderstorm could de

this soccer coach also arrested for sexual abuse of a minor. miguel flores is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a then 7-year-old in the summer of 2015. investigators believe all of the inappropriate contact occurred at the centerway park soccer field. in montgomery village. there might be more victims so if you have conversation call police. alison: this herndon man now under arrest. nancy: eric judy charged with sexually abusing a child in the past four years. he took inappropriate photos of the then 13-year-old, police say. they picked him up and took him in custody last night at his home. jonathan: developing news out of las vegas, a deadly school bus crash while children were being taken to school. the bus as you can see flipping over to the side. it looks like it went off the road and in the desert. michelle marsh is monitoring the situation in the "live desk" with the latest. michelle: that school bus and another vehicle collided. it was a driver

vehicle who died. our sister station in las vegas reports 16 children were injured in that crash. at least one of them critically injured. there were a total of 40 people on board. students say they actually had to help the driver get off the bus. the business flipped over on the driver's side. all the students have been accounted for. the driver of car was sadly killed in this. it's nettlier what caused the crash. when we find that out we will have an update and bring it to you. i'm michelle marsh. back to you. nancy: this has gotten nationwide attention. racist message left after students at american university elected a black woman as the student body president. bananas hanging on campus. today she and the sorority are demanding the person who did this come forward and face punishment. richard reeve has the powerful reaction. rich? richard: that is right. members of congress toda

u.s. justice department to investigate now. some of those leaders on the hill meeting with the a.u. student council president here. we have video of the meeting. hundreds of students and faculty packed inside what they call a town hall meeting discussing strategies on how to move forward after this. they said this is not about blaming the administration but creating protocols to deal with racism on campus. earlier this week, they released surveillance video showing a man they are calling a person of interest who hung the nooses early monday morning. the administration said they have plans to expand diversity training and other programs and the student leaders call it a pivotal moment and time to apply pressure to make change. >> i'm absolutely concerned. but not just for myself. but for the members of the a.u. community. this isn't the fi

jonathan: president trump and alec baldwin had a chance to meet face to face but it didn't happen. baldwin said that trump was invited to appear in february when he was a guest host. they were so hopeful he would accept the invitation but he didn't. nancy: that would have been something to watch. decades of the duties now winding down. today the royal family summoned all staff to buckingham palace for emergency meeting revealing prince philip is going to step down from public life. molly hunter in london with the

doug: cloudy and breezy weather now but it will change as a storm system out west is moving in the area. drill down for details. start in the metro. cloudy skies. showers south and west through virginia but the action now is well south and southwest. this system is moving in quickly. we'll see the thunderstorms develop around the area but probably not until after midnight around here. this timing coincides with the morning rush so that means potential of a big mess in the morning. overnight the storms will get closer. the moisture coming from the gulf of mexico and the atlantic ocean. it converges as a warm front moves ov

the gun was taken from a rockville police officer patrol car. why didn't they notify residents about the theft? today, montgomery county reporter kevin lewis went looking for answers. kevin: 6:00 a.m. saturday, an off-duty police officer walked to the squad car parked outside his home. the department shotgun, ar-15 assault rifle and the ammunition were missing from the trunk. then two days later police arrested 18-year-old mario alvarado at albert einstein high school. alvarado, a high school junior and a citizen of el salvador had allegedly brought the ar-15 to school important. today we asked the rockville police department why it never notified the community after criminals stole the high-powered weapons and ammo. a spokeswoman dodged that question and declined on
