ryan hughes has the story. >> we are thankful that we are all ok. we are alive. and hernica ortega family are starting over. they escaped with their lives but are left with nothing. >> we came out with nothing on, no jackets. ryan: the ortega family was living in the basement of this home, another family living upstairs. on thursday both families ran for the lives after a fire started in the garage. a landlord and her neighbor over ther throw kids fence and her husband was on the other side to catch them. a citizen in 2014 but her husband was in the process for citizenship.
