campus, students protesting after a news was found on campus last month. alison: anna-lysa gayle is live on campus. some of the students were out there for hours. anna-lysa: that's right, some of the students were out here because they want their demands to be heard even as they are preparing for finals next week. a hope the demands will unite this campus and push out the hate. some students protest for hours at the university of maryland wednesday, starting with dozens of others at the student union. >> we pay tuition, we fund this university. anna-lysa: tensions reached a boiling point after a news was found hanging inside of a andernity house in march, white supremacist flyers were found on campus. >> people have written in chalk

on the sidewalk. anna-lysa: they are asking the school president to meet their demand's which includes providing an immediate response to hate crimes and calling for diversity training for organizations on campus and an external review board to investigate hate crimes. at one point during the protest, they met briefly with the vice president of student affairs. >> i think the only message we got was the president was listening. anna-lysa: the vp of student affairs said they are extending an invitation to meet with her individually. live at the university of maryland, anna-lysa gayle, abc 7 news. jonathan: happening now, urgent searches going on in a number of locations. all of these robberies were caught on tape. alison: nancy chen has the pictures that the police want you to see. nancy: these are clear images of terrifying moments. the police are trying to track down the people behind them.
