area earlier this afternoon. it did not chase off supporters ridethe rolling thunder for freedom. the focus turns to tonight's national memorial day concert. iseorologist josh knight tracking this next round of rain. josh: that is right. for most of us, we are getting a break right now, but more showers moving through the area, so whether it is to the capital for the concert, or just going out to dinner, i would keep the rain gear handy. right now, it is try for us at the national harbour. you can see people on the pure taking advantage of this break, but let me show you what is going on. we have a warm front that has to push to the area. that will bring us showers. every saturday and sunday, we have been talking about the same thing. this easterly flow brings on the moisture and clogs up the system for us. rain.e a good chance of here is predominantly our break right now. you see all of ts

come monday, the spotlight shines on the national memorial day parade. arts tomorrow afternoon at 2:00. crowds will line the route. you can catch that parade on our sister station, news channel 8. jonathan elias is one of the cohosts. county policeng, are looking for the man who beat up a man, eventually killing him this morning. investigators say this attack happened in the parking lot of the days inn on 13th street. the man made it back to his room, where he called police. he later died at the hospital. if you know anything about happened, call police. deputy was among eight people killed in a shooting spree in southern mississippi. police finally took that suspect, corey, into custody. investigators say he shot his victims at three separate locations. people were killed at that first scene, including a deputy from the lincoln county

there was a second call that came in, a second scene. two people were discovered at that scene. a third crime scene. two more people were found at that location. kimberly: the suspect told investigators the shooting started over a disagreement about custody of his children. doctors did treat him for a gunshot wound. the developments at the white house. mark catholic, the attorney president trump hired to defend him, was in the building for meetings. afterward, he was seen getting into an suv with ivanka. the president sent out seven tweets. he used the term "fake news at the reports his son-in-law tied to to set up secret locations with the russian government late last year. the white house is pushing back against allegations of homophobia. this after the spouse of luxenberg's gave prime

dramatic new video. take a look at this. we will me show it to you one time. a young boy slipping out of the emerald plunge waterslide in northern california. fortunately, he only suffered some scrapes and was treated at the park's first aid station. the accident as you can imagine put a damper on the water park half grand opening. the slide is being examined by the manufacturer. the park is looking into possibly adding a weight limit to the slide's 48 inch height. i have been in a lot of those slides. pretty scary ones. you seem like you're going to fall out. what a nightmare. josh: but you know you're not going to because they tested it. maybe opening day, a little scarier. and off rain all day. that, the big reasons for all of that breeze blowing off of the ocean. that brings all of our extra moisture. we are stuck with it all day long. 68 degrees from annapolis to the sea 68 degrees should -- from annapolis to d.c. i don't think that it's reaching the ground. what is starting to come together is from western maryland and dropping down through the i-81 corridor. this is the batch that will try to move over toward the district. we could run into problems through the back end of the concert this evening. a lot of that rain has a tough time making it all the way here, but just enough showery activity that it is worth keeping the umbrella around. we have a warm front to get through tonight and tomorrow, and tomorrow's shower chances are thanks to the cold front. it is firing off a lot of rain. it is not going to look quite like that when it moves through for us.
