violence to an end. larry: there was an armed man and a burning house. 33-year-old wayne gardner broke in a house in clinton, stole a shotgun and set the house on fire. police say wayne gardiner ran in nearby woods. the police made it safe for firefighters to put out the blaze and then they chaised gardiner. >> we had k9 assistance. we found him in the woodline and made an abrehens. he is unharmed with an extensive record. larry: the shotgun was recovered and the police don't know why the particular home was hit. alison: the police are trying to solve the mystery of the 2-year-old little girl dropped off at a hospital. they still have not found her parents. this all started sunday when the woman brought the child to holy cross hospital in

they plan to do that soon. this official word from the state comes on this same day that judge in this case issued the final ruling in this ongoing suit. now he dismissed remaining portions of that suit. but what this does by having this complete is allow the state to move forward with an appeal. last week as you may recall, judge leon issued a ruling calling for the state to get another review of what the metro ridership and the safety issues. the impact of that on the overall project. this has been a long delayed and a debated project in maryland. the state will appeal the ruling from the judge last week. the plaintiff in the case, friends of the capital crescent trail issued statement in part saying ruling maintains that a full scis and environmental review is required on the fundamental question of ridership for this fatally flawed

off adding the green space effectively reducing the park to 55,000, 47,000 or just 27,000 square feet. that is half the parks current size. >> i'm very sad and upset. >> the fliers have been posted to warn about the proposed changes and there are a couple of facebook groups and a change.org petition with 2700 signatures urging the county not to reduce the size of the park. >> in a statement, a county spokesperson said there is no immediate funding or the intention on changing the configuration of the shirlington dog park in the short-term. however, as the capital renovations happen in the future or renovation is needed the state mandated storm water management standards will need to be addressed. >> i understand the need for change. but if they could preserve the link of the park, that is -- lenk of the park, that is awesome. >> they claim the county is not responsive so their concerns

[chanting] tom: the group working matters rallied in kensington with a message for the general assembly. >> we are here today to ask them to override the veto of house bill one. >> it would be disastrous to the state economy. tom: governor larry hogan vetoed the bill last week and said he favors paid sick leave but thinks the bill went the far. i would have required five days of the paid sick time for the companies with 15 or more employees. the governor wants to require five days for companies with 50 or more employees. at one location. he also wants the tax breaks for the smaller businesses to encourage them to give paid sick days. >> for companies of over 50 people, the businesses that size already provide that kind of benefit because it is a competitive advantage. >> those calling for ove

levels but only from one faucet per school. >> just in the classroom next door the lead content was fine. the next classroom it was higher than the action level. so the most likely culprit in the case like that is a faucet. richard: the school officials placed the faucets off-limit and will replace fixtures and retest. it is part of a larger plan to check the lead levels at 44 schools by the upper and eventually 100 buildings. >> at each of the schools they found one sink. generally not a drinking water source. >> prince william's strategy is as a law goes into effect july 1. to come up with an action plan. >> the rule for the municipal water supply. but lead is getting in the water once it enters the building. richard: district officials hope to have testing in a matter of weeks. richard

alert. doug: in the past couple of minutes two important warnings came out from the national weather service. one is a tornado warning. and another severe thunderstorm warning. give you a look at the graphics here. give you a big screen look. the tornado warning has been issued. it's in effect until 6:30. this is for east central, frederick county, clark county, jefferson county and west virginia. there is no ground verification or truth or anything spotted visually yet but the earmarks are there for a tornado. this is until 6:30. just out of the, from the national weather service. get all the information to you. this is near berryville right now near millwood pike. it's moving southeast at 20 miles per hour. if you look for tornadoes there are signs. look at the green and the red the inbund and the outbound winds. that is impressive as it murphs
