concussion. >> it's a big blank. ryan: may 16, kate was walking to grocery store near 34 and porter street northwest. that is the last thing she remembers before waking up in the hospital. >> i think i was probably crossing the street and i was hit by a vehicle. >> a group of good samaritans found her face down in the crosswalk and called 911. no witnesses have come forward. the police report says there is no evidence she was struck by a vehicle or victim of a violent crime. but according to an e.m.c. report cob tained by abc7 the incident involves a vehicle. kate hired a private investigator to dig deeper. she simply wants to know what happened and thank the people who saved her life. >> i would very much like to identify the people who came to my aid.
