james hodgkinson whose life was start to unravel. his wife tells us he left for alexandria, virginia, two month as go without work. and investigators looking at social media and a cartoon, critical of steve scalise among the four shooting victims. president trump visiting the hospital wednesday. before the shooting began one congressman was approached by a stranger now believed to be hodgkinson. >> i did have an interact, with some one in the parking lot who asked me if team practicing was democrat, or republican? i told him they were republicans. he said, okay, thanks. moments later the gunshots, pierced the air. rand paul duck behind a tree. >> we had no arms. all we had was bats. >> others scurrying to the dugout. capitol hill police returned fire. >> not only chaotic. >> joe barton's 10-year-old son was on the field. members tried to protect him in

campaign. >> the alleged shooter at the republican baseball practice this morning, is some one who apparently volunteered on my presidential campaign. i am -- sickened by this despikable act. >> he had no love for hillary clinton either. posting a nomination for hillary equals a win for trumpable. there were run ins with the raw. history of petty violations and hints that violence could be coming. in police responded to a domestic incident in which hodgkinson was accused of striking a woman and hitting a neighbor in the face with a shotgun. misdemeanor charges were later dropped. two months ago, police were called to his illinois home after neighbors complained about dozens of shots being fired. >> i said i am going to call sheriff and report him. he was not stopping. he was given a warning. but his life apparent leap starting to unravel. his wife told us he left for alexandria, rg
