shell casings were recovered which means at least 30 shots were fired at the two teens. told one of the victims was hit 10 times and the other was hit four times. perhaps the biggest news here today was that police are now victimsdging that the and the suspect likely know each other and there have been some sort of a contact between them that prompted this crime. >> we do not believe it's a random event. we do believe that the suspects and the victims knew each other and, more importantly, we believe there are people out there who have not come forward yet and have not given us information that they know about this case. captain f

a consumer alert, amazon got a whole lot bigger. the company plans to buy whole foods for $13.7 billion. we go live to northwest. what does this mean for the customer? good afternoon, the customer get a brand-new experience at whole foods if this sale goes through. it's about $13.7 billion which is $42 per share, up 27% from its closing price just yesterday. this is a game changer for the grocery business. whole foods has been lacking with her online grocery sales. it appears amazon will move into chains that. forstors had been pushing the last couple of months for a sale like this. now it appears to finally be happening. there has been poor performance across the 430 stores across the nation. belooks now that will changing. we caught w

this friday, we have midday road construction tying us up in the district on 295 with a works on between the 11th street bridge and howard road. this will not show you a lot in terms of delays but we are blocking a lane in each direction. we are already looking like 40 deathlike friday afternoon rush on 495. you will see some of the getaway traffic, southbound 95 two accidents already. it's after the prince william parkway and heading through knowing 10 and back on the capital beltway, things are slowing through prince george's county getting through the baltimore-washington parkway. downe closed their south with traffic stopped for an accident between powder mill road and the flight center. there are delays in both directions merging with the bw parkway. that's the latest on the roads. we will

>> you are watching abc 7 news on your side. >> 30 people are confirmed dead after a high-rise fire in london and that number is expected to grow. there is no indication that the fire was deliberately set up this morning, queen elizabeth and prince william visited a relief center for the victims. they met with residents, volunteers, and community representatives. two georgia fugitives accused of killing the prison guards have been captured in tennessee thanks to some unexpected help. a man caught the two trying to steal his car. he held them at gunpoint until police arrived.

when the fugitives crash there car an hour south of nashville. the two ran to the man's house. there was a $130,000 reward for the two fugitives. no word on whether the man will get the money. now to those incredible images showing a blimp crashing right by the u.s. open. rescuers raced in to save the pilot. we have the latest. >> this morning, federal investigators working to figure out what caused this advertising blimp to come crashing down, exploding into a ball of flame. the aircraft crashed into this field about half a mile from the u.s. open tournament golf course in wisconsin around 11:15 a.m. thursday morning. >> we have a blimp down, a manned aircraft down. thousands watching the competition found themselves watching this instead in disbelief. >> there it goes. >> i saw the whole thing
