an update fromh the fbi on the ballpark shooting a left five people injured including congressman steve scalise. investigators are ruling out that the government had any ties to terror. fbi officials made the announcement just under an hour ago. and elasticsation shooting at simpson park in alexandria, the congressional baseball practice. we have learned the shooter had a storage bin in which he had some 200 rounds of ammunition. an assault rifle, handgun, apparently had done some research -- at least gone out and photographed different sites

u.s. capitol. the entryway to the dirksen senate office building, and the washington monument as well. investigators are not coming to any conclusions regarding those sites, nor a list with six names of members of congress on it. this is what investigator tim slater had to say about just what hodgkinson had in his possession as far as the firearms. >> on the morning of wednesday, june 14, hodgkinson, who was living in his vehicle in the parking lot of the ymca at the east monroe avenue address, is believed to have exited his vehicle with two weapons. .62 october rifle and a nine millimeter handgun for which he had a whole's are on his body. >> the fbi saying it is continuing with its investigation.

but when we spoke with one lock horseman official, he said -- law-enforcement official, he's a looking at all of the ammunition, you can help but think there was the potential for even more bloodshed or possibly more violence. no definitive statement on that coming from the fbi at this time. reporting from the district, stephen tschida. breaking news out of michigan. a man attacked an off-duty police officer with a knife at an airport influenced. witnesses said they saw the officer bleeding from the neck. the officer is in critical condition. the airport was on lockdown. police have arrested the suspect. happening today come the fairfax county teenager killed in what police are calling a road rage incident will be laid to rest. vigils were held nationwide. suzanne kennedy with more on how she is being remembered today. >> early this afternoon, members of this mosque will come together for a funeral for the slain teenager.

early sunday morning as she and a group of teenagers were walking back to the mosque after getting food at a nearby fast food restaurant. fairfax county police say the victim was allegedly beaten by 22-year-old darwin martinez torres in what is being described as a road rage incident. int night's vigils were held major cities across the country, including one in washington, d.c., at dupont circle. nabra's family and friends describe her as a good student and good muslim. the chaplain says it is important for people to attend these events today. >> our grievance process, that has to be done. the parents, the family, the friends, the extended family, extended friends -- if they do not make it to those events, they're going to feel like they missed another part of nabra. at 1:30uneral will be this afternoon and the burial will be immediately following. this evening

will be held at the shopping plaza just down the road from southlake high school. she would have finished her sophomore year later this week. in sterling, suzanne kennedy. an investigation is underway in baltimore to find out why a blocksipe exploded two from camden yards. it left a crater in the road, making it look like a war zone. the roads are still closed and the mayor says it is a miracle nobody was killed. sam sweeney has the details. sam: this blast rocked downtown baltimore just an hour before the orioles game last night. it is still standing today. take a look. you can see just how powerful this blast was, lifting chunks of concrete up into the air, spreading it in all directions. you can see the damage it did through just one of the cars in the area.

today, the mayor baltimore calling this a miracle that nobody was seriously injured or even killed. normally, there are vendors selling drinks here. yesterday, they moved down the street. take a look at the video from the air. the force, this team pouring into the air -- the steam pouring into the air. at times, the steam reaches 1200 degrees. firefighters begin spring there by building so the facade did not melt away. people were bleeding, running into nearby hotels. luckily, they're going to be ok. we caught up with one man who was your to witness the blast. let's listen. >> boom. turned around and it was unbelievable. it was like that 9/11 footage of the smoke coming at you. we took off running. i have never been more terrified in my life. >> what did you think? course, oh, -- of my god, it is a bomb. it scared the -- is getting pretty good. simcoe scary for many people in this area last night.
