tornado with wind over 100 miles per hour happened in alabama. injuring at least three people near birmingham, alabama. >> it lasted about two minutes and was gone. >> reporter: leaving behind twisted wreckage and 12,000 people without power. >> we're certainly not out of the woods yet. it's a long way from being over. >> reporter: the remnants of cindy continue to soak saturated ground. long after making landfall near the texas/louisiana border early thursday morning. a foot of rain has fallen in spots along the louisiana, alabama,age and floored coasts. reaching hundreds of miles to the north. a flash flood threat continues from louisiana to cincinnati. officials are advising residents to stay on higher ground. even the fire ants are coming to the, devising their own strategy to beat the floodwater. and we are learning more about the boy killed in the middle of the storm. mullen mccabe was on vacation with his family when he was struck and killed by a log.
