the tracks. he called for help. the montgomery county rushed out as fast as they could -- as well as other first responders. they immediately shut down the red line as they investigated. we talked to crews on the tracks. the smoke was coming from the tracks. smoke was coming from fireworks ignited at the apartment complex , and the smoke from the , theorks was so thick smoke was covering the tracks and scared the conductor. we spoke with a number of riders today who say they were none too happy, especially having to wait 35 minutes on the platform for metro. >> there are going to be the lace of everything going on, so why cause more delays? >>

story. is a very busy roadway. on the fourth of july weekend, the number is greater. prince george's county police are hoping that any of these motorist saw something that can help them solve the murder of adriano lombre. family members of the father of four said he had hosted a card game at his house, then drove a friend home and d.c. before heading home on 495. the police believe a motorist opened fire, killing lombre. >> we don't believe our victim was the aggressor in this incident. family isombre's still in shock, saying their father was a good man, and they want to see his death brought to justice. >> he was just a loving person. he would not do anything to no one. melissa:

kimberly: a police officer in oklahoma rescued a young boy and changed his life in a big way. he officer rescued the boy from a deplorable conditions. investigator said he had been abused and starved by his biological parents. the officer took him to the hospital and stayed by his side until he got better. eventually thompson and his wife adopted john and he has become a thriving straight a student in the gifted program and is on the honor roll. , hehat john went through went through a lot more than many adults ever do. the thompsons went a step further. after

a baby girl while in prison, they adopted his newborn sister less than a day after she was born. hotshots flagstaff battling a fire spotted and in the two deer fawns path of the flames. tonight, more pictures. they release them into a safe area to be reunited with their mother. the fire is now 53% contained. and look how close this danger is, water off of the florida panhandle. oh, my. rone spotted this large hammerhead shark getting way too close to the swimmers at the panama city beach. the shark was eventually caught and released at a safe distance away. you know how you say i only go in up to my knees? darn i
