michelle: quite a mess here. hyattsville residents trapped in their homes. the driveways blocked for a week. when a construction crew went to

nathan baca has more on what happens if you end up in a similar spot. nathan: they are restoring the roads here. the families are telling "7 on your side" nobody told them they wouldn't have access to the driveways for days. road crews contracted by prince george's county public works department build much-needed sidewalks along old landover road. but the problem is they have trapped residents in their own homes. >> you can see i still can't go anywhere. >> can't drive to work. trapped inside for the weekend. this family says they were kept in the dark. >> it's a total look of communication. nathan: so "7 on your side" got answers. the county says they posted door notices around the neighborhood but that doesn't mean everybody got them. the president of the

pickup crashed and then look at that. it plows in the front door of a tv station. it ended up going directly through the front door. the station manager says it was not intentional and the driver had a coughing fit and passed out behind the wheel. he is expected to be okay. no one inside was hurt. a wild picture from san francisco, too, where a police officer can now see he has seen everything. including the kitchen sink. someone threw the sink through the back window of the officer's patrol car this morning. this happened at a murder scene. the officer was not hurt. no arrests so far. >> a fire burned 11,000 acres. not long after it started, the road became blocked. 150 children and the staff waited while tankers doused the flames from above.
