incriminating information on hillary clinton. >> in an interview last night, don jr. said i probably would have done things a little differently. >> reporter: donald trump jr. appearing late tuesday on fox's "hannity" maintains his controversial meeting last year with a russian lawyer with purported ties to the kremlin was much ado about nothing. >> it was such a nothing. there was nothing to tell. i wouldn't even have remembered it until you start scouring through the stuff. it was literally a wasted 20 minutes. >> reporter: though his e-mail exchange with rob goldstone and who has russian clients shows he was willing, even eager, to accept russian help with his father's campaign. >> someone sent me an e-mail. i can't help what someone sends me. i read it, responded accordingly. if there's something interesting there, i think it's pretty common. >> reporter: trump jr. releasing

meeting. also attending, jared kushner and paul manafort. they didn't know what the meeting was about, but e-mails have the subject line "russia/clinton, private and confidential". goldstone wrote trump jr. that it is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of russia and its government support for mr. trump. less than 20 minutes later, he responded, thanks, rob, appreciate that. if it's what you say, i love it, especially later in the summer. he reessed the e-mails to be totally transparent, but the new york times says he only went public after they told him they were going to publish it. >> this is moving into perjury and potentially treason. >> reporter: republicans weighing in too. >> his characteristic of the meeting has changed, which creates suspicion. >> reporter: and sarah huckabee sanders reading a short statemen

push through health care reform, even postponing summer vacations. mitch mcconnell says he's cutting the vacation in half, and accusing democrats of obstruction. the wildfire has left its mark. the fast-moving grass fire destroyed at least two large homes in the hills of san jose. many high-end homes have been evacuated. in southern california, the jennings fire has destroyed at least 400 acres, forcing hundreds of evacuations and for a time closed ainn interstate. there are fires in 15 states. investigators are trying to determine why a military plane crashed in mississippi, killing all 16 members on board. it carried an exclusive group who were

>> there's a plane crash on county road 286 near the county line. >> reporter: the large team of investigators are combing through miles of mississippi soybean fields, recovering seat belts, engine parts and other melted pieces of the military cargo plane that crashed here monday. >> i heard a loud boom and it shook my house. >> reporter: this is what it looked like from a cell phone on the ground. witnesses say they could tell it was moving ammunition. >> all you could hear all the ammunition blowing up. >> reporter: 15 marines and one navy corpsman were killed. some from stuart air force and camp lejeune. heartbreaking calls are still going out to their families. investigators aren't sure what brought the plane down, but the large debris field suggests the plane was high in the sky. it was moving people and equipment from north carolina to california. the

workhorse for decades. near the dusty fields, a salute to those who were lost. this is difficult work for investigators who will be working trying to figure out what brought this plane spiraling out of the sky. we've watched them drive down long dusty roads of these farms and get out and search the soybean field by hand, looking for some piece of evidence to explain this. steve osunsami, mississippi. and we're getting a look at a milestone moment in the missile defense program. this video shows the first successful test of a system against an intermediate range rocket. the air force fired a missile near hawaii, intercepted by a rocket from alaska. the missile that was destroyed, similar to the ones being developed by north carolin

developed by north korea. a fiery wreck on an interstate involved six vehicles, two of them tractor-trailers. one of the trucks rear ended a passenger vehicle and burst into flames and that spread to the second truck. i-70 was closed for a time both directions. and a massive air bag recall has been expanded. some air bag inflaters may explode with too much force and send shrapnel onto drivers and passengers. at least 17 deaths have been blamed on the defect. it has affected ford, nissan and mazda vehicles. an interesting scene in the suburb here. >> the 30th annual mud day in westland, michigan. a decidedly down and dirty event here. it involves hows of kids and having a complete free-for-

severe storms including this tornado have now hit north central indiana. the high winds snapped trees and knocked down power lines. the heavy rain brought widespread flooding in the rural area as creeks overflowed and many roads were closed. and there was also heavy rain and flooding in montgomery, alabama. there was flooding inside the state house. look at some of these images coming us to. there were high winds in montgomery with a tree snapped on the alabama capitol grounds. a person of interest in the disappearance of four in pennsylvania is no longer in custody. >> they are still focussing their search on a farm owned by his family. eva pilgrim is there. >> reporter: fbi investigators zeroing in on this field outside philadelphia, using a backhoe, digging and sifting soil by hand. appearing to measure and

on the latest installment. >> we had this awesome family tradition where every sunday was pancake day. the only problem with pancake day was it only happened on sundays. so today we're going to make a pancake healthy enough to eat any day of the week. it's pancake day, baby! we're going to start off by grabbing eggs. we'll need four egg whites for this recipe. we're starting with the eggs, because separating eggs by far is the most annoying part of this whole recipe, but we're going to make it less annoying with this high tech gadget. yes, that's a water bottle. open the water bottle. crack in your eggs. try frnot to drop in the shell. you're going to take the water bottle. till the bowl a

squeeze and suck the yolk right in. boom, from there, grab the blender. add your egg whites and any banana will do, and this is a good use for an overripe banana like this one. half a cup of oatmeal. half a teaspoon of baking powder or go one teaspoon. and finally, here's a fun cheat. for a little added sweetness, two teaspoons of protein powder. i'm using vanilla, but i'm sure chocolate would be delicious too. and then we blend. loudest blender. ♪ voila. we've got pancake batter. and here's a good make ahead tip. can you put the batter in the fridge and make the pancakes in

it will settle a little, but add a little milk. but i don't want to wait a day or two. get your pan going with a little grease. because we're using so little, i'm going with butter. what who are're looking for is bubbles to form. once you start seeing the bubbles, it usually means the pancakes are ready to flip. voila. pancakes. the best part is, for a regular pancake, you're looking at about 160 calories, five grams of fat, more than 20 grams of carbs and four grams of sugar. our pancake has 67 calories. just a little over one gram of fat, 11 grams of carbs and half a gram of sugar, which means -- there's even room for a little bit of syrup. ♪ ooh, one more tip for you. if you end up with a big batch,
