figure out what happened to cause the fire and what led to the stabbing. onke billowed from a house east longview drive just before afternoon as the police rushed in to find a woman who was stabbed. >> we gave her medical treatment. she was flown to a hospital. a man was taken into custody shortly after. family members say he suffers from the dull health issues. >> it appears to be a relationship between the victim and suspect. anna-lysa: the stabbing came as a surprise, describing the community as a quiet family environment. >> never had a problem, never, never, never. the woman who was stabbed is expected to survive. two of the three officers who suffered smoke

trying to help her are still at the hospital tonight. ramirez has been charged with malicious wounding. anna-lysa gayle, abc 7 news. jonathan: a heads up for parents about a suspicious incident in leesburg. the police say that a nine-year-old girl was approached and followed by a woman. the police had the driver told the child her mother had been injured. she offered to give her a ride to the hospital to see her mom. the child was suspicious and smart and walked away. she told the police the car followed her, then eventually drove off. alison: disbelief, rage, and i come in northeast and a vigil held for a man who was shot to death while walking his dog on the anacostia trail yesterday morning. as richard reeve reports, the police still do not know who did it or why. richard: prayers and candles at this gathering. family and friends celebrating
