gurgling through the pipes and filling dog candles beyond this metal gate. in the worst spot, five inches of contaminated water. staff sprung into action, grabbing water boots and toeegees and moving wet dogs dry kennels. lost in the sewage backup, dog beds and toys. there was also a shortage of kennel space for some time. this is the only intake center for the entire district. the humane rescue alliance put out an online plea for bedding and toy donations, and the response has been great. >> we just really had to trash a lot of the bedding that was contaminated. we want our dogs on fluffy, dry bedding. the lobby has been wonderfully busy. people have respon

trees can topple over. ryan hughes, abc 7 news. kimberly: speaking of toppling over, rain is being blamed for the collapse of a wall at a southeast d.c. condo building. was there earlier today and tells us more about what has become a real danger. kevin: yards of yellow police tape keeps people at a safe distance from a little hole in the wall at the fairfax village condominiums and southeast. officials say that yesterday's heavy rainfall caused a three-story brick's welding basement wall -- rick welding's basement wall to collapse. residents stared in disbelief at the scene, which included a toppled air-conditioning unit and tangled wires. an inspector rolling the structure was not sound. hence this neon orange danger sign. the american red cross shuddered that
