last-ditch effort to reverse this decision. kevin? kevin: casa hosted a press conference today denouncing federal authorities for deporting the two brothers. a 19-year-old and a 22-year-old who were both in the u.s. illegally. however, casa claims neither man had a criminal record. lesandro was about to attend college in north carolina on a soccer scholarship. his older brother di ego worked in an auto shop. but as i.c.e. explains it in 2009 customs caught them using fake passports and visas at j.f.k. airport. they purchased a return flight to native el salvador to apply for a vis a or green card but it never happened. hence, i.c.e. taking action this week. here n

the senators first introduced it in february. it didn't get much traction then and already fellow republicans are speaking out against it now. graham saying if it were to become law it would be devastating to the workforce. supports say it would help low-skill americans compete but opponents say it's going to hurt the u.s. economy. in northwest, emily rau, abc7 news. nancy: white house officials say president trump signed a bill imposing new sanctions on russia. russia responded to sanctions over the weekend slashing the u.s. diplomats allowed in the country. jonathan: the boy scouts organization denying a claim by president trump that the head of the youth organization called trump

he gave at their jamboree. he said he was told it was the greatest speech ever made to them. the scout's response was quick. we are unaware of any such call. alison: former f.b.i. director james comey inked a book deal. flat iron books says it will be a tell all. as much as comey can reveal. not just the allegations of ties between russia and trump and the campaign but also hillary clinton's use of a private e-mail server. we to wait until next spring for the book. in the middest a desperate search for two people after this. an explosion at a school in minneapolis. an entire wing of that school was just blown apart. lindsey mastis has the latest. lindsey: we just got an update moments ago. unfortunately there is one

good news for the capital. the crime rate this year is way down compared to 2016. some of the biggest drops are in the troubling arenas. >> we are in a high crime corner. you never drove down the street when you didn't see a police cruiser on hand to keep a lid on the crime. but there are no crews in sight. the folks around here say it's no longer necessary. >> there is still crime in d.c. but crime is nowhere near as high as this time last year. >> the crime is so far down in d.c. because of the opportunity presence. >> a look at the crime rate from january 1

that is the location stretching from reagan national airport through b.w.i. 60 to 75-minute delays on ground stops. then farther north, to the metro area in new york city, some reports of three-hour delays getting in and getting out of the airports. so that is the way it will continue. satellite shows a couple of showers way southwest. another out west of the blue ridge. we will watch that. certainly there is a chance for isolated storm. i don't think there is much of a chance in the majority of the viewing area tonight. instead, clear to partly cloudy and muggy. 65 to 72. looking ahead for the next few days, lower 90's. showers and thunderstorms on thursday and friday. we clear out saturday. it will be terrific around here as we look ahead to the d.c. united taking on toronto. saturday night the weather at the stadium at r.f.k. will be just about perfect. we'll talk about the weekend, steve rudin will, in 10 or 15

jonathan: in fauquier county, they are arresting a man who they say killed a c.v.s. manager. >> we are following the developments. reporter: there is a lot of mixed emotions about the case. rex olsen well-known fixture in warrenton, worked as a manager at c.v.s. since 2008. he was found shot to death. now we are getting word of an arrest. at 4:20 this morning they took 76-year-old bernard duse into custody. the police are not revealing what led them to duse or a motive in the case. olsen known as a friendly guy, always with a smile. family members asked for privacy. but the neighbors across the street say this was a real loss. >> i was shocked. i don't know what happened. i just heard he was found dead by the dumpster. that was crazy right there. >> duse is in jail.

first court appearance as early as tomorrow. people certainly shocked by what has happened. they are relieved as well. coming up, what people are saying about the outcome. in warrenton, richard reeve; abc7 news. nancy: look at the video. amazing. showing rescue workers pulling a man from a 20-foot hole. a construction worker fell down a manhole. the man survived the fall. he was rushed to the hospital and treated for what is described as serious injuries. jonathan: "7 on your side" health alert. improperly stored opioid. there is a study that suggest many surgery patients that end up with prescribed drugs do not store or dispose of the medicine properly and that increases the chances it could end up in the wrong hands. it also raises questions about overprescribing. there are disposal sites all

the study was just published in the j.a.m.a. surgery today. nancy: older people die on the job at a higher rate than other workers overall. what makes this alarming is more people in particular baby boomers are working longer according to an a.p. analysis of federal stats. in 2015, 35% of the deadly workplace accidents involved someone 55 and older. changes in vision, hearing, cared with reduced response time put them at risk. >> a disturbing story out of kentucky. someone visiting a cemetery saw a grave was dug up and exposed coffin. one of the people the police say did it was a grandson of the woman buried there. our sister station talked to the family. >> they are behind bars after the martin county deputies worked to get to the bottom of a mystery causing a family pain they never thought they'd

get back to breaking news keeping an eye on. this is sky track over the scene. the smaller boat approaching boat taking on water that put out a call for help. the boat was in trouble. they had a life vest on earlier. they are perhaps taking the guys off. you can see the water now. it is nilling up with water. not far from shore. the water is chilly. they will get everybody to safety. maybe they will drag it closer to shore. if it does go down at least it won't in deep water. nancy: fortunate there are good weather conditions for the rescue as well. jonathan: steve rudin saw to that. steve: not so lucky to baltimore and philadelphia and new york. if you know anyone taking the train or airplane over the next four or five hours -- jonathan: thunderstorms. steve: significant delays.
