overdose is during a drug bust. >> abc 7 news at 11:00 starts with breaking news. jonathan: that breaking news is from northeast where four people were shot, one has died. jeff goldberg is on the scene. a very active, search for three suspects.

tonight at this exxon station. shell casing markings all over the establishment, taking place in that area. according to d.c. police, a of three men approached another group of the gas station and started shooting. four people were struck, one of them fatally. three other victims are at area hospitals. d.c. police are looking for three suspects. they released a description of the vehicle last hour, but have since rescinded that. they are looking for any help from the public to catch the suspects. live in northeast washington, jeff goldberg, abc 7 news. story,n: the other big pop-up storms barreled in, leaving a mess and fairfax county. alison: 6000 people are still without power. the storms have cleared out and we will get an outlook in a minute, but first we want to check in with tim barber, who has been surveying the damage in a concentrated

tim: right now i'm standard ring on whispering lane. -- i'm standing on whispering lane. and another tree came crashing down onto a power line and cut out power to the neighborhood. storm knocked down trees like they were toys, crashing onto homes around like barcroft one by one. -- around lake barcroft one by one. luckily, nobody was hurt. >> heavyhail and wind and thing story coming out of the trees. tim: paul was in his backyard when a nearby tree fell on to another, sending them crashing onto the neighborhood power lines. >> i looked out the window and there were sparks. tim: driving around lake barcroft, we spotted live wires and debris.

from opioid overdose. anna-lysa: after an arrest, the deputy continued collecting evidence and at some point the deputy sufferedan accidental overdose. >> this is the first time one of our own fell ill from an opioid overdose. the deaa: in june, issued a warning for all first responders, saying there was a significant threat to law enforcement personnel and other first responders who may come in contact with the drug. >> we believe it is possiblyan inhalation situation. it attaches to receptors in your body and starts shutting down the respiratory system. anna-lysa: thankfully, the deputy was at the hospital with the suspects when he noticed the symptoms. >> they administered an antidote through i.v. and it reversed the effect of the opiate overdose. >> it could have been lethal, yes, ma'am. anna-lys

"the wall street journal" is reporting special counsel robert mueller has convened a grand jury. they have been working secretly four weeks already. cnn is reporting they have already issued subpoenas. trying to determine if any collusion went on during the election season. president trump has called the whole thing a witch hunt, but the white house today said it was cooperating with the special counsel. two bipartisan bills moved to protect robert mueller in case the president tries to remove him from that investigation. jonathan: president trump spent the evening in west virginia, blasting "the washington post" swamp in addressing the situation with russia. nancy: president trump touched on the stock market gains and

county, a child and her grandfather drowned in a residential pool in severna park. the police say the four-year-old did not know how to swim and her grandfather tried saving her, but he also did not know how to swim. alison: heartbreaking. health concerns at a ymca pool. 42 people including 40 people were made sick by a chemical leak at this indoor pool. many had trouble breathing. the kids were in swim lessons when a lifeguard opened the door to a pump room and was overcome by fumes. all are expected to be ok. ymca says the pool will be closed while they fixed the mechanical problem. jonathan: prison time in the high-profile case that involved a teenager who sent her boyfriend text messages encouraging him to kill himself is not she will not spend any time in jail just yet beus
