announcer: now "abc7 news at 4:00". on your side. alison: right now at 4:00, police are looking for a man they believe took pictures up women's skirts. nancy: they say it happened at the columbia heights metro station. jonathan: kevin lewis has the developing story. riders need to be on the lookout for this guy. kevin: they certainly do. metro transit police say the woman was riding up one of the escalators wednesday evening around 7:30 p.m. when she felt a hand up her skirt. later that evening she went online and filed a report through wmata's website. then today metro trance it police released a wanted flyer of the man they say is responsible. he is wearing camouflage pants and a necklace. he is milling about the base of the escalators that takes riders from the columbia heights station up to georgia avenue. after reviewing the surveillance footage, police believe this

4:00, a former elementary school teacher in montgomery county just sentenced to 48 years after being convicted of child sexual abuse. he was convicted in june and he testified he never intentionally inappropriately touched the student accusers at cloverly elementary school in silver spring. jonathan: the opioid epidemic in maryland now has the schools taking extreme measures. they will be stocking one a fast-acting anti-overdose medication. richard reeve explains. riches we are in the health room of the julius west middle school, one of to 205 schools storing naloxone. it will be scored in a secure location. training on how to administer the drug begins at the end of august. this is after the projections by the montgomery county police there will be 244 opioid overdoses this year. up from 107 in

jonathan: there is another police department in vermont adding carbon monoxide monitors in all the vehicles. this comes after the city police chief says three of the officers had to be rushed to the hospital after inhaling some sort of carbon monoxide. the department says ford is paying for all the department explorers to go through the inspections and whatever repairs are needed. alison: that follows maryland bureau chief brad bell's report that montgomery county po

explorers and many of them are the infamous interceptors. they found that they were inspenting for cracks and many were found. jonathan: law enforcement agencies nationwide are seeing a spike in the heroin use. nancy: this is wildly reported. alison: but in ohio this week even police were shocked by answer incident caught on camera. nancy: mike carter-conneen has details on the disturbing video. mike: the cincinnati woman is facing charges after the vid joe shows her shooting up heroin while her young child looks on. it's not graphic but it is difficult to watch. cincinnati police say this surveillance video shows a mother preparing to shoot up heroin with a man she just met as her 3-year-old son watched. the man later overdosed but was revived. >> the parents were here. kids were

the wall. >> they called the police to help the boy but by the time the group arrived the police were gone. they found the mother with her son near the courthouse the next morning. >> he was well behaviored. he is leaning against the wall. it really a bad sight. >> it's horrible. the kids down here. you know, the playground is there. not a good thing. mike: drug dealing and drug use have been a problem for years. some call it "crack alley" so they created a neighborhood watch and installed hidden cameras. >> the people, you know, appreciate the effort and are getting involved. it will take time but the message is getting out. mike: she had her first court appearance today and tonight she is in jail. her son was hungry and dirty but was in good help.

kristine: in washington, kristine frazao. nancy: the police have arrested a man and accused him of inappropriately touching children at the in-home daycare. an 11-year-old made accusations and in the investigation they found a 9-year-old who made the same claims. now to the u.s. economy. the good news here. nations jobs report finding employers added 209,000 jobs last month. this is above what was expected. labor department added the national unemployment rate flipped to 4.3% matching a 16-year low first reached in may. jonathan: yelp setting up shop in the district. bringing jobs with it. muriel bowser made the announce. today. yelp will be at terrell place in northwest. construction set to start later this summer. hiring will begin later this year.

the shooters are still on the run. d.c. bureau chief sam ford is live in northeast now with the new information in this case. sam? sam: we are in front of the exxon station where it occurred. firing on helpless people running for their lives at the exxon station last night. we saw blood outside and inside as the victims try told flee. this morning police towed away shotup cars, three in all. the fire department washed away bloody footprints and pools of the gas station lot. according to the people at the gas station it was pouring rain late yesterday when a number of people were huddled under the awning. three gunmen came out of the alley firing. four people were hit including the manager of the gas station on the way to the car and three others were hit as well.
