looking for the shooters. they are asking anyone with information to come forward. jonathan: in baltimore where the opening hours of a call for peace for more than a month. signs like these have been urging cease-fire in area. they are calling for it this weekend. this year baltimore has seen more than 200 murders. the communities call for a cease-fire runs through sunday night. michelle: new at 6:00, a hunt for a stolen dog and the women accused of stealing her in a violent attack. it all up folded yesterday in southeast washington. stephen tschida spoke with the victim and the dog's owner. this is a bizarre story here. stephen: very troubling story. yesterday morning, she was walking her two dogs and her friend's toy poodle across the street. she got to this spot. an s.u.v. pulled up with the two women inside. one of the women said, "is that your dog? are they all your dogs ?" she said yes and the woman got out and

one. before they took off with the toy poodle they left laughlip on the -- laughlip -- off lynn blooded and beaten. >> they left edwina laughlin beaten with serious injuries. >> punched me in my face and my lip. i went down. then she started stopping me. she crushed my knee. my knee is crushed. i can't walk on it. it needs surgery. >> laughlin says a car pulled up as she walked her two dogs and the neighbor's poodle diva. a younger woman got out and tried to drag diva's leash. she refused to let go, another woman got out and theyked her from behind. >> what kind of a world are we living in when a person seeing a person with dogs and say she got too many. i'll take one. >> diva is a 14-year-old's dog. >> i got up last night. i forgot she wasn't there. i couldn't sleep.

take pictures up women's skirts. one woman caught the man in the act at a columbia heights metro station. when they reviewed the video they saw him spying on other women who may not know they were victims as well. if you recognize the man call the police. jonathan: a mixed verdict today in the trial of the former pharmaceutical c.e.o. known as the most hated man in america. martin shkreli found guilty on three counts of conspiracy, fraud but a jury cleared him of five other charges. shkreli known for the pharma-bro persona accused of funneling investor money to the companies like a pyramid scheme. he remained upbeat and defiant after the verdict. >> this is a witch hunt of epic proportions. maybe they found one or two broomsticks but at the end of the day we have been acquitted of the most important charges in this case and i'm delighted to report that. jonathan: you may remember shkreli is notorious for a price gouging scandal where he raised the price of a cancer drug by 5,000%.

gets his sentence. michelle: a former black water contractor will get a new trial on charges he murdered civilians in iraq. today an appeals court overturned his conviction saying he should have been tried separately from three codefendants. all four were convicted of killing 14 civilians at a traffic circle in baghdad in 2007. slatten was sentenced to life in prison. jonathan: the trump administration has an ultimatum for leakers. stop it or face possible prosecution. jeff sessions says the leak undermine national security. >> the nation must end the culture of leaks. >> we will not allow them to sell out the country. >> president trump called him weak on the issue. yesterday the post release excerpts of that

>> he is well behaved. just leaning against the wall. michelle: indeed. the man who shot the video called the police. they tracked down the mother and arrested her. she was in court on child endangerment and the drug charges. police say the little boy was dirty and hungry and otherwise okay. jonathan: the stafford county deputy recovering after overdosing on fentanyl. the deputy didn't take it or touch it. he was just exposed to it. he found two people unconscious in the van outside of a preschool on high point boulevard. but luckily the deputy was at the hospital when the symptoms started to overcome him and he was given naloxone, a drug to reveres the opioid overdoses. michelle: the opioid crisis in maryland reached epidemic levels that the lifesaverring drug will be available in every school across the the state this fall. richard reeve shows us the preparations underway in montgomery county. richard: in the health room here at 240 mon

if it affects us tonight it's from this area. there are not any new storms locally. power and the dynamics ahead of the the cold front to produce showers or thunderstorms tonight. especially to 10:00, 11:00 or midnight. this is great out there. it's warm and muggy. there the evening it's bright and sunny. warm and summery but then we ramp up the chance of the isolated storms. no indication it's widespread. stay with us in case something changes. i don't think it will. the threat is later tonight. some of the storms could pop up. anything that does could produce torrential rain and strong and kick wind gusts around the area.
