people were hit rush to the hospital after experiencing a serious injury. this is the exit lane of the ,arking lot at river road located at the corner of river road. we are focusing in on the car that was involved in the accident. a hole inthe hood, the windshield. if you still down to the ground, you will notice a chain and shoe. i just spoke with the montgomery twoty, who tell me that people were hit, an older couple, a man and woman who were walking to their car in the parking lot. they are at the hospital right now with serious injuries. that is the latest information we have. we also know the person who was driving the car was part of the congregation at the church and state at the scene. live from bethesda, we will keep

kimberly: difficult situation. frantic moments after fire and heavy smoke blanketed in arlington apartment after starting on the eighth floor of the building on columbia pike. 25 apartments on that floor are unlivable. ride hughes with some residents who ran for their lives. momentsah, and frantic is a good way to describe it, the fire happening at a time when many people were trying to sleep in over the weekend. a lot of the people who are not being allowed back inside are hanging out by the pool. still herews are trying to clean up the damage from the fire that started at about 11 a.m. this is viewer video of how intense the fire was. this is really cooking, the flames shooting up the windows. it took firefighters about 20 minutes to bring the fire under control. one person was taken to the

inhalation. this is the 5500 block of columbia pike. the fire destroyed three apartments and residents from 25 units of the eighth floor have been displaced. there is a lot of smoke damage. one person said she heard a woman scream, then she went door to door letting people know the building was on fire. my apartmentonds, was pitch black. i had to shut my door, get my blanket ,wet my blanket, and exit through the emergency stairs. >> it was pretty big and just goinging -- just kept until the firemen threw the water at it. ryan: some residents are still outside, not eating allowed back inside. management is working hard to make sure that everyone has a plac

today while trying to land during a training mission. officials say that 23 other marines have been rescued. the u.s. military has been in the area for training exercises with the australian military. president trump has been briefed on the situation. he isng of the president, wrapping up the first day of his nearly three-week vacation. while the president is taking a break, the russian investigation is not. reporter: day one of the president's 17-day working vacation at this luxury golf resort in new jersey and the special counsel investigating russian meddling is apparently not taking a break. the new york times reports special counsel investigators have requested documents from the white house related to former national security adviser michael flynn and questioned whether the turkish government secretly paid flynn for work.

kimberly: federal officials now investigating an explosion at a muslim community center in minnesota. officials say that somebody threw a fire bomb inside of the youth center this morning as people were preparing for morning prayers. one worshiper saw somebody standing outside, then a truck sped away. nobody was hurt. new developments in florida with the massive sinkhole that swallowed two homes. the video was incredible. now the cleanup has been halted is expanding.les another section collapsed overnight with several pieces of land caving in. >> i think the surrounding area cannot help but feel questionable and unsafe because there is no
