cheryl conner is live at the metro station. cherly: -- detectives around the tracks a short time ago and they were looking for evidence out here after the shooting that happened at 3:00. we want to take you to some video, because we were on the plat arm when the metro train were the shooting happened was still here -- the platform when the metro train where the shooting happened was still here. a metro spokesman says it was around 3:00 this afternoon when a teenager was shot in the abdomen. the shooting happened right on the train that came out of silver spring. it was pretty quickly. metro put out the images of three suspect leaving the station. they are considered armed and dangerous and they may still be in the silver spring area. >> the witnesses

those three persons of interest boarded a train on the opposite platform and went back in the upper -- the other direction. we determined those three persons of interest exited metro at silver spring station. we want everybody in the silver spring area to get a look at these images. we want to let you know that the red line is no longer single tracking. service is back to normal. police don't have a motive for the shooting just yet, but we can report, some good news. the victim was breathing and conscious when taken to the hospital from this station. i want to report that there are cameras on the train and we have been told from a metro spokesman that the cameras actually caught the shooting. they may have more images to put out later tonight. we will be staying on top of that and bringing you the latest . that is the very latest, live from northwest. ch

kimberly: your station for breaking news, click wjla.com \text for alerts to be sent to your phone. with a string of shootings last week, a rush of robberies in the district keeping police busy. five robberies reported in the city in the span of about 10 hours. we are following the city, live following the story, live in northeast. are these connected? ryan: police don't believe these ripe -- these robberies are connected. they happened all across the city and many of them were violent. it started here late last night, when a woman was slammed onto the sidewalk on her way back from the grocery store. it ended at another scene not far from here. >> his face was swollen. his: brian woke up to roommate pounding on the

after he was robbed a few blocks from their apartment. the roommate was walking home from the congress heights metro and alabama avenue just after 12:40 this morning when he was surrounded by four suspect. >> they demanded everything in his pockets and his phone. he told them no, and they pulled a knife. ryan: police say the victim was punched in the face. the rash of robberies started last night on g street northeast. a woman walking home from the grocery store was pushed to the ground. suspects made off with cash. maria walks the same route and fears she could be next. >> i am nervous right now. two hours later, another robbery on howard road southeast. d.c. police say a man walking out of this apartment building on newcomb street about 1:00 this morning was approached by three suspects with a gun. they stole his phone, money, and hit him on the head. >> i'm kind of in

taylor and he lives on the top lore of this apartment complex -- the top floor of this apartment complex that is boarded up. we have a picture of him. he is 27 years old, and is behind bars right now. according to his neighbors, he lived in this apartment with his girlfriend and their infant baby girl. according to police, taylor and his girlfriend yesterday got into an argument. it escalated quickly. he decided to light a carpet on fire, and it spread quickly. they say he wasn't done and he pushed his baby girl, who was in a stroller, push the baby towards the fire, then made a run for it. he was eventually arrested. , fivew these apartments families are displaced because of the fire.

>> you are watching abc 7 news at: 30, on your side. kimberly: police charged a driver in a deadly and fiery crash saturday morning in northeast d.c. police of the driver lost control and crashed into an empty car parked at a gas station on florida avenue. turns out a witness of the crash pulled him out. he is charged with negligent homicide in the death of his passenger. that person's name has not been released. investigators say the suspect was speeding without lights

kimberly: stormwatch 7 is in that place where the wind comes sweeping down the planes. a tornado hurting more than two dozen people in oklahoma. the wind's where nearly 160 miles per hour. it hit oklahoma's second largest city around 1:00 a.m., so everybody was sleeping and this was a problem. the storm's sudden formation meant there was no time for tornado sirens to found. >> it was maybe an hour after, i stepped outside. the street was flooded. my eyes went down the street d

out here. kimberly: we are talking about 10 orleans, up to 10 -- inches of rain fell in new orleans. local leaders are blasting the city's response. a public hearing is set for tuesday in hopes of getting answers. at home, watching out for the potential of severe weather tomorrow. before we do that, sirens not going off in oklahoma, that shocks me because i have them everywhere. people are used to it. the deal with that all the time. 1:00 in the morning when you are not expecting all that to come together -- kimberly: and a quick storm forms and there you are. josh: this is why we give you an early heads-up. tomorrow, no 10 inches of rain, but a chance for flash flooding. let's run through how beautiful this weekend was. we had a few extra clouds today, a little more than i was hoping for, but some sunshine on and off through the day, allowing temperatures to stay in the low 80's.

wave of low pressure moving across the area brings us a good shop for heavy rain, strong thunderstorms. wrapped up in their could be damaging wind gust. this is especially the further south you go, southern maryland and over towards the eastern shore. not out of the question in other areas, but a better chance in these areas. by tuesday, the cold front moves through. things get much better. that holds the wet weather further to the south. tonight, showers move in. 62-70 across the area. they will develop, then tomorrow again, hanging further south, fredericksburg and by the time they get to d.c., we switch from a slight risk to a marginal risk. watching everywhere for damaging winds. a better shot further south. rain chances stick around all day, especially by midmorning through the afternoon. with that in mind, we have a chance for flash flooding especially in the urban areas, tore we are most susceptible having r
