deadly explosion in silver springs. in the kennedy is community with how they are remembering the event tonight. remains under federal investigation one year later. it was just before midnight that there was a huge natural gas explosion on august 10. seven people were killed, two of them children. washington gas has replaced the main involved in the explosion. the county has added new housing inspectors and evaluated its emergency preparedness. legal action is being taken against washington gas. last september, a lawsuit was filed against the company, saying the explosion could have been avoided if inspectors had done routine inspections. tonight, several area religious leaders will gather in a parking
