he died at the scene. no word on the suspect. in developments right now from northeast d.c., one person is now in custody for the double shooting in broad daylight yesterday. the search continues for more suspects. this, as the 17-year-old victim is in grave condition. suzanne kennedy has details from the d.c. police chief. suzanne: police are back out on the scene where the shooting took place yesterday afternoon, where a 17-year-old was shot in her car just a day before her sister was to be married. less than 24 hours later, an arrest has been made. 21-year-old philip carlos mcdaniel of washington dc. it was about 3:45 when police say there were gunshots on saratoga avenue northeast. the teenage victim was shot in the head. she was just 10 days away from leaving for college. was alsoperson, a man, hit. this latest incident comes at a time when violent crime is down in the district. >>
