at 12:00 noon yesterday a baby needed assistance. they dialed 911 and paramedics showed up. but the neighbors said one of the paramedics, one of the e.m.t.'s was staggering. they say he was drunk or high. the 3-year-old was rushed to the hospital and is doing fine now according to the neighbors. but the e.m.t. as we mentioned is still at the hospital. at least two people attacked him yesterday. we'll send it back to you. that is the latest live. alison: thank you. police are investigating a deadly shooting in southeast washington. a man shot multiple times sitting in a parked mercedes around 12:30 this afternoon. the shooting happ

larry: calls in richmond to rip down monument to the confederate general. richmond the one-time captain of the confederacy is home to honoring leaders and at least one person arrested. alison: this is a continuation of a nationwide effort to remove confederate monuments. it began in earnest with the removal of the confederate flag from the south carolina statehouse following the church massacre. since then the cities across the country pulled down the statues. in alexandria city leaders are debating renaming the roads named for the confederate icons. as cheryl conner reports some historians say the national trend isn't
