week, three times tuesday alone, prince william county police investigated skimming devices on atm's inside woodbridge 7-elevens. the thieves put one sk immer with a camera over where the money comes out. >> we're seeing a variety. tom: the other thing making these crimes unit, the thieves receive the stolen debit card information using wireless bluetooth technology. they never have to get the skimmer back. >> they just abandon the technology and get what they can before the devices located. tom: these are sturdily built. hereu pull here or here or and anything is loose, that is a sign them is seen -- the machine might be tempered with. using bluetooth helps the criminals but also helps you. you can use your smart phone to check for active bluetooth
