a man in trouble died today las vegas last jnnight we lost dick gregory. jerry lewis was a comedian, actor and a singer and the host of the annual muscular dystrophy telethon. he died of natural causes today. >> class dismissed. kimberly: he played a lovable fool in many films. 20, when it big at he teamed up with dean martin, becoming one of the most popular teams in history. peopledidn't just make laugh. he took up the fight against muscular dystrophy, hosting an annual telethon for four decades, raising within $1 billion for research and treatments. >> beat the sucker. and keep at it till i can't walk. or else i'm not here anymore. ♪

we learn more about two shootings. at different rec centers last night. the first injured in eight-year-old boy. at a community center in southeast. the second happened two hours later in northwest. and sent a man to the hospital. police share more information during the cookout at a community center in southeast. investigators say the eight-year-old boy heard the gunshots and ran from the basketball court but got knocked over by the crowd and that is when he felt a burn to his leg. the boy was taken to the hospital. no word about the shooter. d.c. police say a man was tying his shoes at the raymond rec center last night when he heard gunshots. he notices foot was then bleeding. a couple of people driving by noticed the man was hurt. they took into the hospital. police are still searching for the gunman. they don't believe the two shootings are related.

kimberly: health concerns are rising as the death toll climbs after catastrophic floods in sierra leone. 500 bodies were found and 600 people remain unaccounted for. the officials say the chances of finding survivors is dwindling. red cross and officials are pleading for international aid. the presence of so many bodies could lead to a serious health crisis. we're learning more tonight about the victims as the manhunt continues for the driver who mowed down crowds in barcelona. police have identified the youngest of 13 people killed on thursday's attack.

kimberly: we are just one day, -- hours away from the total solar eclipse. it is expected to be the most watched total eclipse in history. jams keepthe traffic growing. some driving hundreds of not thousands of miles for the best view. towns and cities in the path of totality are really catching in. hotels, airbnb and even campgrounds are selling out. >> it is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. i would say that almost every person that sees it it's
