like, but we'll get better. >> tom: and you stressed special teams to put players on those, and how did that shape the outcome? >> that was the difference in the game in all honesty. a blocked punt, a fumble on a kickoff cover and, you know, the field position that we kept them in the second half was key because they could never get the offense. >> tom: you're a coach that likes to take these games on, and you have throughout your career at alabama. why? >> it tells you a lot about your team, and our team worked hard for this game, and they have respect for florida state, and florida state has a great team, and they will be a team to be reckoned with, you know, this season, and we have to focus on what we need to do to get better. this tells us where we are and where we need to go. >> tom: appreciate it, nick. good win. >> thank you. >> tom: let's go over to maria. >> maria: i have calvin hurts and ridley here. this seemed like

who is recruiting can be surprised when they lose four first rounders, and they have good leadership and a town of good athletes. maybe haven't heard of bvr tonig before, but they have big talent, and it's business as usual. >> kirk: that's the greatest takeaway of this game. some guys emerged as the new leaders of the 2017 team. those great players that have gone through this program are gone, and a lot of them are in the nfl. it's a new group of players turning to become the leaders and you see the baton handed. >> kirk: there's the trophy, the leather helmet rocking behind tom. it was hardly perfect from the saban perspective, but as nick might say, it was aight. 17-point victory, and 'bama, 24 and florida state 7. tonight's game was produce and directed and remember, be right back here in atlanta 48 hours from now over
